TEMS Chatroom: Hospiblogging edition II

posted at 1:15 pm on December 4, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

Once again, we’ll have to cancel today’s show, as the First Mate remains in the hospital and I’m mainly blogging from the room. She is improving; she had a bacterial blood infection that was very serious. They have her on IV antibiotics, but she still has a fever, so they’re keeping a close eye on her.

Instead of having a show, we’ll open the chat room for our usual wide-ranging discussion on topics great and small, as well as updates on the FM’s condition. I’ll be participating, and I hope we can see all of our friends drop by for a great conversation!

Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice and The Monster moderate the chat, and they have Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!

If the new Java-based chat does not work well for you, try refreshing your browser after first allowing for the Java application to run. If that still doesn’t work, join us through the Ustream channel page for TEMS!

Christmas season is coming, and you can get great deals delivered to your door. Check out Ed’s Bookshelf or search for what you want. For the clueless or the FTC (but I repeat myself!), I get compensated for sales made through these links:

Hey Ed, glad they’re taking good care of Mrs. Ed. Sounds like she’s in good hands.

God bless, and I hope she’s back on her feet soon.

OMG – septicemia?

Queen0fCups on December 4, 2009 at 4:06 PM

Yes, septicimia, but they caught it in time.

Keeping the First Mate in my thoughts and prayers, Ed. BTDT, nearly died, and had a heart attack as a result. So I do know what she and you are going through right now, and your nails must be gnawed to the quick at this point.

All the best to you and your wife, Ed. You’re in my prayers.

Oh Ed, So sorry to hear you guys are back in the hospital, but glad to know they caught the infection in time. You’re in my thoughts.

You should see the scary WARNING that pops up on this page about an unsigned app, the digital signature is way out of date. Fix your page and java applet and perhaps people won’t have so much trouble. I’m not “letting it run” out side of the sandbox with just a big popup warning!!!!

Glad to hear Mrs. Ed is stable. She and you are in my prayers.
