A week after calling Barack Obama “Carteresque,” Chris “Tingles Up My Leg” Matthews said the former object of his affection is “Too much Chamberlain and not enough Churchill.”

Apparently, for Chris Matthews, that “tingles up my leg” feeling has been replaced by a “trickles down my leg” feeling.

If the electorate is about 37% Democrats and 56% of them vote, that’s 20.7% of the total electorate.

If the electorate is about 31% Republicans and 81% of them vote, that’s 25.1% of the total electorate.

Based on turnout, if these statistics hold up, and each party’s base votes for its own candidates, Republicans have a 4.4% edge before the Indies vote. If the Indies split down the middle, the Republicans should re-take the House.

Since many polls have showed Independents massively opposed to ObamaCare, Democrats vote for it at their own risk!

Wow. What a fresh and exciting statement. I’ve never really thought of it that way before.

You’ve really made me think.

But that last statement…well, that’s just common knowledge.

Yeah, Rush is really a liberal that gets the great unwashed all worked up while he secretly gets his liberal leaders voted into office.

Wish I could offer kudos on that one, but we’ve all known about Rush’s little game for years now.

Douchebag libs are under the assumption that the election survivors won’t run like scalded cats to repeal whatever disasters they enacted before they too are driven from office.

This has been exactly my thinking from the beginning. Conventional wisdom tells us that no entitlement program can be touched once it’s enacted.

When something this destructive and unpopular is made law the opposite will become the norm. All entitlement programs will be questioned.

It is a lot easier to ridicule than it is to rule. However, in the meantime please continue your cheering for your individual “teams”. Maybe next time will be different.

One thing for sure however. Rush Limbaugh’s ratings are higher when a “D” is in office. What “team” do you really think he is on?

People tend to withdraw and have trouble trusting others after they’ve fallen for a con artist.

There are 3 kinds of Obama voters in this world:

The Hard lefties who knew his shtick was a scam all along and were laughing their collective asses off on Election Night,

The Casual Donks who vote for anyone with a (D) after their name, who are now a bit dazed and confused about who this guy is turning out to be, and

The Indies and Self-deluding RINO’s who are getting over being horrified by what they’ve done and are now getting really, really pissed about being had.

Oh, almost forgot, their is a fourth category: those of us who knew he was a deceptive, arrogant, narcissistic manipulator from the get go.

Being ahead of the curve eventually has it’s rewards.

Dems are still running against “the last eight years” and most of the conservative talking heads don’t know enough history to even counter the most glarting falsehoods.

For example, on Fox yesterday, the Dems stated that the Republicans controlled the whole government for eight years. Not a great issue but if the GOP can’t marshal facts to counter such an obvious “mistake”, how can conservatives expect them to handle detailed policy questions on national security and the economy?

They have to rehabilitate the Bush administration, at least to a degree, or risk giving the Dems a safe refuge. With the way things are developing, most Dems would rather set the debate anywhere to keep from visiting the toxic areas of the present government.

Karl Rove needs to do a web site, Oprah and everything else he can, even if only to provide a source of talking points in defense of the Bush years. Moreover, even the feint of a candidate like former VP Cheney might help to show the Bush administration as it was, and not as the left would like to portray it.

Then we have the lovely lady above who makes Kirsten Powers and the many others on Fox look like novices. She is a sophisticated, stealthy version of commonsense, polished Republicanism and would make a great replacement for Huck.

Gosh, does any politician believe the polls until the last minute?

I doubt it.

I can’t see too many Dems actually willing to fall on the sword, however, for unpopular bills.
