Odd that the party which hates the troops, the democrats, start most of Americas wars and the republicans end them, usually in victory. Even Vietnam was won on the battlefield and only declared a loss in Washington DC and through the eyes of the liberal media.

On Iraq, WE WON.

Any American loss of life is terrible, however, comparing American casualties to D Day in World War 2, 10,000 on the first day vs. less than 5,000 in the entire Iraq war results in a tremendous improvement in lower casualities and saved American lives and 50 million free muslims.

God bless our troops, for without them, the liberal trolls could not spew their ridiculous ideas here.

I disagree. The ‘nothing’ that indeed was accomplished was not just the removal of Saddam but the gaining of a top tier strategic ally in the den of undoubtedly the most strategic region of the ongoing campaign. This campaign was certainly at crisis level back then.

It is also disingenuous to claim that it was/is wars that squander billions (at any given time). Congress wholeheartedly agreed (with a tiny exception from a few) to fund the war which was deemed vital to our national defense. Under any responsible nation, it is defense that is the top mandate in terms of financing and prosecution. Our republic under the strictest guidelines of the Constitution is no exception. Therefore, any money that is spent during is where the squander lies. This is especially true when there are countless items (even whole departments) that have no Constitutional basis or merit whatsoever.

So instead of having say 3000 abortions a year for whatever reason, with maybe 2% of abortion seekers volunteering a claim of rape/incest, you want 3000 abortions a year with 100% of abortion seekers claiming rape or incest? I presume you wouldn’t require a felony conviction, because you can’t get one in 9 months.

The Far Left (Democrats and otherwise) have no interest in helping the GOP return or retain majorities in any elected government, so to pay any attention to their loudest voices would be foolish.

The Conservatives (Republican, Libertarian, and Independents) don’t have to agree on any all-or-nothing set of values as they should know that it is a ploy to keep them from getting organized into any effective voting bloc capable of stopping the schemes of their political rivals.

From this time forward, participation in ALL future elections are no longer optional for lovers of liberty and freedom. Anyone right-of-center thinking voter had better be proactive in educating their families, friends, and neighbors on the ideas of conservatism, getting involved in the democratic process at ALL levels of government, and holding accountable any elected official who would willingly attempt to short circuit or do an end run around the Constitution for the sake of growing government and reducing liberty.

There’s the growing feeling we’re doing that right now. Back to the Carter administration.

Who is bungling what war? Who is ramming unconstitutional programs down our throats? Who is paying off assorted wall street types and union thugs?

I could go on — illegally wiretapping American citizens, vetoing bills that ould have brought health care to children, getting outmaneuverd by the North Koreans, embracing a “what me worry?” energy policy that enriches Chavez, Putin and Amadinijad, demonizing gays even though my own daughter is a lesbian…gosh those were good times.

I think what we need is first someone who can get elected; second someone with deep conservative convictions; third someone who is determined to lead wisely; and fourth someone who can stand against the most blistering assault from the left and their bapf media for four to eight years.
