I keep harping on this, too. This is definitely the manifestation of conservatives identifying less with the RINO GOP and more as independents.

But none of this blather matters. What matters is November 2010, and we need to crush Obama and his leftist Fifth Column, take control of congress outright, neuter than socialist assclown, and begin a serious campaign to find a leader for 2012. Someone serious, who is not on the radar at present.

This is just more proof that tea partiers are leaving the Republican Party nominally. The number of Republicans goes down as tea partiers switch identification from GOP to IND, but they still vote the same, so the gap among independents goes up. It’s really not that meaningful.

Republicans winning by 7 points overall – now that’s meaningful. If tea party independent candidates actually show up on ballots, that will be cease to be meaningful, however.

Sorry for being elitist by describing what others may be like. It’s just that I’m in a minority (not black), but if someone with a similar background to mine (or anything else I had a connection with) were elected, I’d want them to succeed. How long will this last? I don’t know. But from personal experience with people of my background, if the polls start to go down, it won’t be a little bit, it’ll be an avalanche. We’ll see if that happens. However, it won’t be anytime soon.

It’s demonstrably not. Ken Blackwell, Michael Steele, Lynn Swann …. None did especially well among the black voters in their state.

Just being black is clearly not enough to win the black vote.

Democrats, on the other hand, garner consistent 90% black support. Black AND Democrat, more like 95%.

If unemployment numbers are 35 percent for any other minority group, you would expect a GOP lead. This +1 could be just a fluke but the Dem bias is not.

Hannity had Imus on who said the unemployment with AF is at 35%. I haven’t seen that figure anywhere else and I don’t like Imus much, but if that figure is correct than that 1% jump in the polls has got to be a fluke

O is such a disaster on many fronts but he is supported by an extra one point (more than 90%?) by African Americans who have ironically been hardest hit by the recession. Sort of like cutting off your nose to spite one’s face. O is judged more for the color of his skin than the content of his character which is just sad….

Yep, he has been a dud so far and to be a dud so early on, one has to wonder what the rest of his term will be like.
