I need a t-shirt that says “Do I look like Mrs. Obama” in chinese. That way I can wear it around the office and no one will know the gag.

Unless of course Beck & Limbaugh are right and the liberals are trying to wreck America so they can take over as nationalists, the interests rates wont go up and we all will have to rely on the government for more and more things.

The funniest thing about any SNL thread are the they’re still on? posts, which are supposed to be oh-so-witty, but are really just a cliche.

Whoever that is playing Obama was terrible.

I loved the skit, but the guy playing O’Baama is weak. I’ve seen better likenesses of the child-God walking down the street.

Guys come on the SNL isnt moving to the right the only reason you think that is b/c the jokes about Obama. The only reason they are joking about Obama is b/c he is the President. They are just joking about who is in power, its not political in terms of making fun of Obama, they are forced into it.

I’ve always respected SNL for going after whomever is in power regardless of party. They had lots of fun with both Carter and Clinton. Mr Purple is right that they’re not going after Obama’s style but I think that will come as they get more comfortable with parodying his policies. A few years ago, I was complaining on a Daily Show group about Stewart never making fun of Democrats and one of the supporters said that TDS only makes fun of those in power. TDS has treated Obama with kid gloves so far and, by comparison, SNL is Red Eye.

During any election cycle they will side with Democrats and if a Republican is President he will be smeared mercilessly.

I’m not even sure if Obama is really the butt of the joke here. He is presented as well spoken and smooth as always. The joke is always on something else – not Zero. It is China’s possession of our debt and our spending that is being mocked.

Notice the difference when Bush or Palin are in jokes. In those instances the joke is usually to make them appear stupid or unqualified. The person is the joke.

They have a long ways to go before they are fair or balanced IMO.

it is nice to see somebody in late night take on Obama’s “throw money at the problem” mindset but this guy throws so many softballs to be hit out of the park that SNL and the rest of late night intnetionally ignore.

Don’t be ridiculous. But I have to admit it was one of the first signs of humor I’ve seen at SNL in years. It was actually funny. I wish they had come up with a more direct version of “fuqqing me in the a$$”.

The yelling in Chinese was a great touch.

Then again that is a pipe dream, SNL just wanting the raitings.

If you’re in the studio audience and can’t actually see anything wrong with “The mind of Keith Olbermann”, then you don’t realize who the parody is targeting and actually think it’s just another routine late-night shot at Palin.
