No fingernails left. Have to start gnawing on my knuckles. Ravens and Steelers are scrapping for a wild card spot at this point and they play each other twice over the next six weeks. After both teams lost this week, their next game will be a battle royale. Back in the 70's I was a Steelers fan but now I find them almost as loathsome as the Pats. I wonder if Lovey Smith is working himself out of a job. The bears' woes may not be his fault, but it's his team and he has to bear (groan) the burden of their ugliness. A few years ago it all worked out well.

One of the keys is TROY. If you look at the Steelers success it is when he plays in most or all games. If he is injured it is very hurtful to their chances. They lost today and both Bengals games basically without him.

Oakland against Miami in a playoff game years ago. Somewhere around the third quarter, Lamonica had just thrown another one in the endzone for a go ahead TD. From around the 5 yd line, Larry Csonka carried the ball every play to score a TD and retake the lead.

I can’t even remember who won that game, but Csonka was incredible…..and tired.
