Video: Thanksgiving PSA of the day

posted at 4:10 pm on November 20, 2009 by Allahpundit

I had hoped that, like the noble White House turkey, we too would be given a reprieve this Thanksgiving. Alas, there’s no escaping the Hopenchange, my friends. I’m surprised the NFL didn’t offer to let him guest-referee one of the games, frankly. That would have kept him on TV for three full hours and cast him in the sort of “above the fray” role he seems to enjoy so much in international relations.

Not shown: An illegal horse-collar tackle made by Glenn Beck after the whistle.

Update: From lorien1973 in the comments: “It’s a metaphor right? Brees is … throwing the ball (a paycheck, a job, whatever) to the kid running in the background. Instead Obama intercepts it and gives it to another kid who didn’t even try to catch the ball.”

The NFL really does want to lose fans, doesn’t it?

Throwing the bulls*t flag on this one…

C’mon, AP, there’s a time limit on how long a game can last.

It’s a metaphor right?

Brees is the throwing the ball (a paycheck, a job, whatever) to the kid running in the background. Instead Obama intercepts it and gives it to another kid who didn’t even try to catch the ball.

I tried watching last week’s game online. They let you watch about 2 mintues each quarter. The rest of the time you’re watching guys sitting at a table watching the game.

It made me want to purchase the NFL network even less.

I thought this someone copy and pasted the One into this commercial when he popped in out of nowhere.

It would either be the shortest game in NFL history since Obama wouldn’t/couldn’t make a call…

Or the longest game evah because with every penalty called we’d be bombarded with endless soliloquys.

When ESPN kicked out Rush I started to wonder.
When Keith Olberman is part of the NBC Sunday Night Pregame show the fog was beginning to lift.
When Goodell publicly aired the bogus quotes about Rush and prohibited from owning a portion of an NFL team, I was convinced.
Now this. The NFL is in the tank for the Dems and Obama.

“Let me be clear: I am just two seconds away from fundamentally catching that ball! And the only reason I’m here today, able to catch that ball, is because a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas were willing to march across a bridge in Selma, Alabama. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. And as I run across this lawn today, I promise to catch that ball, and when I do, the rise of the oceans will begin to slow, and our planet will begin to heal. And let me be clear: It doesn’t matter that the pass was intended for little Bobby, because this is MY White House, and MY backyard, and MY ball, and if Bobby doesn’t like it, then too bad, because it’s all about ME! ME, ME, ME! And let me be clear…”

Through mutual friends in New Orleans, I know for a fact that Brees is a diehard conservative. He was definitely holding his nose and doing what he had to do for the kids and also probably because the NFL made him.

Unlike the Looter-in-Chief, Brees has visited our troops for their benefit in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Guantanamo Bay (where he had this to say about the treatment of the terrorist scumbags there). He also threatened his mother with a lawsuit to get her to stop using his image in her Democrat campaign for judge back in Texas.

Don’t worry about Drew Brees; he’s on our team.
