Ten months to the day after Barack Obama took office and three years since Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress,
Republicans NEED to start hammering on that point. Many people still think that Republicans controlled congress before the 2008 elections.

About time for some "are you better off than you were three years ago" ads pointing out that when Republicans lost control to Democrats the economy was still growing and continued growing until Democrats had been in control for 12 months, and that the financial crisis didnt hit until Democrats had been in control for 2 years.

Anyone want to help me make the ads? Contact me through my site.

Tim Geithner told Congress that “by any measure” the economy is improving

The entire Bozo regime clown posse is lying and its not just unemployment that puts a spotlight on their disgusting repulsive lies.

Gas prices are climbing as is the price of home heating oil. (crap and tax stalled to next year)

Forclosurers have been at record highs for three plus months.

Impending foreclosures are increasing.

Retail sales have plummeted for the last three months.

Sales of durable goods have fallen causing mass layoffs (from the BLS.gov website)

And have you seen the increases in the cost of food lately?

And the AP reports that in a little over a month over a million more people will exhaust their unemployment benefits.

But Bozo and his clown troupe, riding around in their little red fire engine keep saying the economy is improving.

Wasn’t it the Dems who successfully used the “It’s the economy, stupid” phrase?

yubley on November 20, 2009 at 11:55 AM

That took place back in 1992, and the history of that episode should be required reading for any students of propaganda disguised as "journalism".

To begin with, according to the Fed, the economic recovery began in March of 1991. For you Democrats here, that's 18 months before the 1992 election.

The media failed to report it in orfer to defeat Pappy Bush, and Clinton ran on "it's the economy, stupid".

BTW, the NY Times finally got around to "reporting" that the recovery had, in fact, started in March of 1991.

They did so in 1999.

It's still all the EVIL BOOOSH'S fault. And Big Oil's fault. Even when the big tax hikes and continued high unemployment continues to ravage our economy.

How about some new AMERICAN PRAVDA "news" stories about Comrade Obama's (PBUH) dog training to cheer up the serfs?

Constant Parrhesia on November 20, 2009 at 11:37 AM

That's kind of a dumb statement.

No one is cheering for the failure of America, but your statement does at least concede that things are failing, right? If that's true, then isn't it a good thing that people are starting to get past rhetorical flourishes and start probing into the failings of the people (adults, I'm told) currently in charge?

I'm not real excited that unemployment is on the rise, my job situation is increasingly potentially tenous, and bills are getting harder and harder to pay...just in time for Christmas, no less! There's not much revelry there from me, but I am encouraged to see that people, by and large, are leaving the Obama ship and seeing this administration as the fraud it is.

I can't remember who originated the quote, but there's a good one that goes something like this: When heading in the wrong direction, the first step to progress is to to take a step back. I, for one, am glad to see people taking a couple of steps back from the Obama-hype to reassess some of the lofty promises that were made and weigh them against the outcomes.

We've got a long road ahead of us, but I consider this good news.

CNN did not include sample data in this partial release from their poll, so the partisan split of the sample cannot be determined.

LOL, they never disclose their polling sample.

As usual, the Left’s entire focus is on vanity.

Sarah Palin DOES have nice legs, she also has a nice face but most of all, she has great character and excellent ideas and beliefs. The latter is why people admire and enjoy her, among those of us who aren’t petty enough to denigrate another woman’s pretty “legs”

I agree that both parties were responsible, but the Democrats, with their insistence at spending money we don't have, and pushing legislation that we cannot afford down our throats, are making a bad situation, much, much worse.

So now....after a year....they definitely own this mess. God help those, who will have to clean it up.

What's really galling is, in spite of all of this, they still continue to press on with the health crap plans.

None of Obama's Czars have respectable ideas or goals.

That means, they're a problem besetting our nation.

Message to elected Dumbocrats: The economy doesn’t look too rosy when you don’t have a f***ing job.

Neither does a globetrotting President who spends more time looking at himself in the mirror than he spends doing his job.

I think Obama defines the job as looking at himself in the mirror...

Was over at Politico earlier and the comments on that liberal site should have Dems running scared. It was all about Jobs should be the focus NOT Healthcare.

Well, the liberal Dems are right in this case. The only problem is that the Dems have engineered it so there are no jobs and healthcare was supposed to be a done deal by now. I gotta wonder what is going to happen to the amnesty agenda that was supposed to be the centerpiece of the January session and kick-off to the 2010 elections. For that matter what about cap & trade? Besides wreaking havoc on America are there any accomplishments from the filthy lying coward in the White House and his corrupt party?
