Breitbart to Eric Holder: Investigate ACORN or we’ll release more tapes — before the election

posted at 7:59 pm on November 20, 2009 by Allahpundit

Hardball, Breitbart style; skip ahead to 4:30 of the clip if you can’t wait. It’s not even his demand that’s the most interesting part. It’s his assertion that “Not only are there more tapes, it’s not just ACORN.” Whatever can that mean? Did they pull this scam on other lefty outfits? Or does he mean that other lefties, perhaps politicians, were implicated in their dealings with ACORN? Or … is it all a bluff? I say: Bluff. (But a crafty one!)

Speaking of ACORN and elections, this fantastically depressing poll can’t be accurate. Can it?

PPP’s newest national survey finds that a 52% majority of GOP voters nationally think that ACORN stole the Presidential election for Barack Obama last year, with only 27% granting that he won it legitimately. Clearly the ACORN card really is an effective one to play with the voters who will decide whether Hoffman gets to be the Republican nominee in a possible repeat bid in 2010.

Belief in the ACORN conspiracy theory is even higher among GOP partisans than the birther one, which only 42% of Republicans expressed agreement with on our national survey in September.

Um … The One won by nearly 10 million votes. He more than doubled McCain’s electoral vote total. It wasn’t close. A reason to be skeptical: The poll was taken by PPP, whose final read on NY-23 was famously wildly off and who still has Palin’s net favorables at -9 while more than one rival pollster has her in positive territory. Let’s cross our fingers and call shenanigans on this one.

Of course, if the ACORN paranoia is true, it only makes Breitbart’s threat here that much more serious. Stoke that conservative turnout, AB!

Question 1: Isn’t that extortion?
Question 2: Isn’t extortion illegal?
Question 3: Why is it that the most fun things in life are illegal? ;-)

EXTORTION; Noun
Illegal use of one’s official position or powers to obtain property, funds, or patronage.
NOPE it’s not extortion.

MWAHAHAHAAAAAA…. Videos of Mexican Consulate workers entering Acorn offices and CENSUS workers entering ACORN offices is pretty damaging.

I believe Mr. Breitbart has something up his sleeve; otherwise, why would he put himself this far out on a limb?

Holder doing a serious investigation of ACORN and associates?

Never happen.

Seems like Breitbart would have better luck encouraging one or more State AG’s to do so.

At the least, he’s shining a bright Kleig light on the already glaring incompetence and inadequacy of Eric the Red.

Has he done something lately to make you doubt him AP? Where’s your *gulp* or “Dude” when you need it…

I don’t think Andrew bluffs. He always seems to come through on exactly what he says he is going to do. If he says he has the goods on ACORN and more, I think you can put money on it.

Agreed. I didn’t read any bluff in that statement.

Just want to chime in with many thanks to Andrew, James and Hannah on their investigations of ACORN. I have written letters to Congress for a long time now to get them to investigate ACORN and all the corruption that I have read about. Finally, we are seeing this come true. I hope Congress defunds ACORN and all of its affilitates forever. I also believe they stole the election. ACORN hit us last year. My brother in Las Vegas has about 6 people registered illegally with his address last year. He lives alone. People would call asking for a variety of names using his last name. He asked where they got that name and they said the “Voter rolls”. Keep up the good work folks. This Obama trained group of corruption must stop.

I’m not sure what the significance of this is supposed to be.

40% of Democrats thought Bush was a reptilian Jewish space vampire.

I call bad question.
It has been proven that ACORN cheated, and Obama did win, so I’m going to bet a lot of people will select that option even if they don’t know or don’t think it was what put him over the top.

Sen. Charles Grassley has bravely laid the groundwork for the criminal indictment and impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama in his uncovering that Mr. Obama deliberately fired Inspector General Gerald Walpin when Mr. Walpin uncovered that Obama’s friend, Kevin Johnson and his girlfriend were using public funds to cover up sexual harassment of women Mr. Johnson was assaulting in the work place.

Not so much a bluff as a setup. Andrew’s adept at strategery, Alinskiesque as expedient. I’m betting Andrew is rattling his sabers to elicit an expected response from Eric the Red. Then he’ll double back with his tapes to use that response against him. Alinsky 101.

Not to rub it in but you thought there were no more tapes last week. I don’t think Brietbart or anyone on the right has enough cache to bluff at this point. These are people who are seeking credibility and bluffing would knock them back to square one at best and into obscurity at worse. Brietbart needs to be a force, not a joke.

Cindy Munford on November 21, 2009 at 8:47 AM

Not a bluff.

If it were a bluff he would have said in answer to Shawn’s question that “yes, we have more acorn tapes”. He went on to say that not only did he have tapes, but some were other than acorn.

I don’t think the man is bluffing on this.

Breitbart is a patriot, just like Glenn Beck in exposing the elements that are destroying America. Watched Olbergoebbels with guest Zsa Zsa Huffington the other night saying how insane and dangerous Glenn Beck is. To whom? Ninety percent of the time, Beck is using YouTube videos to make his points on who’s a commie. They implicate themselves. All Beck and Breitbart are doing is giving these criminals airtime outside of their communinst enclaves. Beck’s dangerous because with his one hour show, they can’t hide anymore. Time to boil some oil and pluck some chickens. This garbage has to stop while America is still alive………..

Bet Holder beat a trail to the WH after they saw this on Fox. After a super secret meeting that won’t be leaked to the news, Holder will hold a press conf to announce a full investigation of Acorn to begn right after 2010 elections. You know these people never seriously investigate themselves.

Kissmygrits on November 21, 2009 at 10:25 AM

October surprise, baby!!!

13Girl on November 21, 2009 at 10:31 AM

At most, Holder will give lip service to Oba…, er…investigations while doing his fellatatory best to cover this up for his brokeback buddy, Obamao.

The key is for the Communists to accrue enough power so stuff like this won’t make any difference.

Pretty sure that’s what they’re up to.

If not something so tin foil-hattish, then at least they know the Sheeple will tend to go along with whatever is easier to believe and they do control most of the elements of our society that have anything to do with forming public opinion.

Um … The One won by nearly 10 million votes.

That’s nice, but we don’t pick a president on popular vote totals. We pick them based on electoral votes per state. Fraud in close states could tip the electoral vote balance.

I agree there were tremendous shenanigans in “Lost Wages”
during the Democratic primary. I was working aircraft there at the time. Ironically, I was invited by the Hillary folks to caucus even though I was a NC registered Republican.

The “couple” next door were big Hillary supporters. One of them even traveled with the campaign. They reported that a lot of intimidation went on at the caucus. There were repeated attempts to settle the caucus. But, the results were the same every time. Essentially inner city types who nobody recognized mysteriously appeared and disrupted the proceedings.

There were far more folks caucusing than there were ballots…

There never was a clear legitimate result according to my neighbors. They were quite frightened of some of the thugs that showed up.
