“I asked Palin about the anti-tax-and-spending tea parties. ‘I love the tea party movement,’ she said. ‘It’s beautiful, it’s healthy. It’s part of that good healthy competition that’s needed in a political party.’ She contrasted the somewhat tumultuous state of the GOP to what’s going on in the Democratic party today. ‘It seems like the Democratic party is filled with more sheep-like individuals, who go along and get along,’ she said.”

***
“‘I don’t know what I am or where I am right now,’ she said after being one of the first people in line to get her book signed. ‘But I’d do it again in a heartbeat.’”

***
Get a life. Go do something productive in this world.”

***
“Speaking on Sean Hannity’s radio show, Palin said that ’some on the left, that lamestream media, they’re contradicting what I wrote in the book.’

“Hannity jumped in to ask, ‘did you say lamestream media?’”

***
“‘I think it’s a great symbiosis,’ said Tina Brown, editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast. ‘Everybody is using everybody.’”

However, by the time the general election had come around people had absorbed that information and the majority had simply decided it did not matter. Beating it to death would not have changed their minds.

Well you are correct as far as the “clip “GOd Blank America goes. But there were many many attack points from is church for the last 20 years. Their mission statement for one, many sermons attacking America, white people’s greed etc. For McCain to do what needed to be done he would have had to show how Obama sat in a pretty racist church. he did not want to make Obama a racist against white people by association. he could have very easily. It was not McCain being afraid fo being called a racist but he was afraid of painting Obama as a racist and then losing and the harm that would have done to the country.

She is something.
I just hope the crazy libs keep attacking her.
They keep attacking someone who is inherently likeable, it will backfire. Guaran-damn-tee’d.

B Man on November 19, 2009 at 7:09 AM

I would not be surprised. It is the old bite off your nose to spite your face mentality. It is like Beck saying we are better off with Obama than McCain…well, no we are not. And when they sat out because of McCain, they dissed Palin too.

Terrye on November 19, 2009 at 7:07 AM

Well I was having a hard time supporting MCain until Palin. It was not till Palin that I opened up my wallet, and offered to drive people to the pols. If not for Palin I probably would have held my nose and voted for the GOp but it was a very tough call that is until Palin. then I was in line at 7:00am to cast my vote. this woman is what America is all about.

Terrye on November 19, 2009 at 7:07 AM

I’m glad you brought up Beck. I think many traditional political watchers, I include myself as well, did not realize that in America there are millions like Beck who will not, unlike Rush, Sean or Mark grudgingly vote for the GOP ticket, vote for a RINO even though the Dems candidate is far worse. I wish it weren’t so but those conservatives who sat home or voted third party could have made a difference in the battleground states.

O’s wife is so classy….electrician’s daughter funded by U.S. taxpayers given a pricey education. She just wasn’t proud of America, or those mean white people…These circumstances made it perfectly understandable that she “patient dumped” in her executive duties (that she received six figure salary after O became Senator). And she lost her license to practice law.

The post above (not worthy of pasting) is precisely why liberal America doesn’t get the whole populist movement going on in America. If one isn’t a radical Obama-loving whore, the left will marginalize you into a mouth-breathing moron. It is that lack of understanding that will kill the Democrat party.

highhopes on November 19, 2009 at 7:44 AM

I agree with Beck.. oh in the short term we would have been “Okay” with McCain. but in the long term we would have quietly accepted all the garbage that Obama is now trying to force.

We are better of in that people are waking up and refusing to go the Rino route. We have heard time and again it is better to win.. win WHAT? Rino’s do nothing to cut the budget, get us off stupid ideas like bail-outs and universal healthcare. WE just go to the left. .quietly. much like the German’s quietly allowed the Nazi’s to do their damage.
If you can’t understand that.. then Rino danger it is.

But conservative David Frum says, she has brought it on herself.

DAVID FRUM: This is a woman who has got into a position of leadership by sending very powerful sexual signals. And we see that in the way that men like her much more than women do.

Amadeus on November 18, 2009 at 11:09 PM

Yeah, “conservative David Frum.” They should have gone all out and continued, “, representative of all conservatives and the GOP combined in the entire universe…” I’d like to spike their imported water with truth serum once and let them go with, “Sexually repressed RINO, David Frum says…”

And seriously, his “she was asking for it” argument is getting really creepy.

Every interview she does, makes the McCain campaign staff look worse and worse. I think people will start to realize, if they’re not already, what was really going on and how horribly they handled just about every aspect of it.

I think America will soon get tired of the haters and those that thing they are better then others. we are a country of equals. this habit the left has of calling all those that do not agree with it stupid idiots will be your downfall. no one likes a hater. It gets old real fast. America is not an society based on class. The liberals would love to make it one. where the right schools, the right connections gives you power but america rejected that 233 years ago and it will continue to reject it. Palin is the rejection of that belief and one reason america’s heartland embraces her.

Frum needs to be asked every time he is interviewed what he meant by that statement. What sexual signals was Sarah sending, and how was she doing it? By looking good? As if plenty of male politicians don’t look good.

It’s obvious Frum never could get a girl like Palin, so he resorts to implying she is slutty. What a pathetic worm he is.

I’ve never been much for Palin’s accusations of sexism, but it certainly holds true with Frum.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Sarah Palin fans are already lined up in the aisles of the Maysville Rd. Meijer, waiting for the former vice-presidential candidate to sign their books.

The first one thousand fans with a copy Palin’s new book “Going Rogue” and their Meijer receipt will get a wristband to meet Palin. Officials will begin distributing the wristbands 10 a.m. Thursday.

The book signing is scheduled for noon-3 p.m.

By about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, about 700 people were already in line. Some fans traveled from as far away as Michigan, Illinois and Florida. Some were even sleeping in the aisles.

I read both this and your earlier post, and I don’t quite get your point. Obama is bad? Yes, he is. His policies are a disaster? Yes, they are. But there is a great big electorate out there who was clearly influenced by the supposed articulateness of this charlatan. We ignore this fact at our peril. In that vein, it would be foolish to ignore the various aspects of any candidate that may prove problematic. You are welcome to love Sarah Palin or anyone else, but pointing out how bad the other fellow is doesn’t mean your preferred candidate should be president. This last election, for many of us, was about voting for the least bad person. I, for one, would like the opportunity to vote for a candidate who both lives and articulates his/her principles.

Blacksmith8 on November 19, 2009 at 9:40 AM

I don’t think the issue is about who is more articulate. Obama stumbles a LOT in interviews. Frankly, they all do.

I think the issue is about the ideas. Will Reagan Redux be the message people want to hear at this time?

People knew and did not care. I do think that if the media had talked about Wright earlier in the primary season when Obama was running against Hillary, it might have derailed him or slowed him down. After Super Tuesday it became an issue and Clinton did well for the next few weeks…but it was too late.

However, by the time the general election had come around people had absorbed that information and the majority had simply decided it did not matter. Beating it to death would not have changed their minds.

Terrye on November 19, 2009 at 6:41 AM

Terrye you are refering to the educated voter, but because of media treatment, everyone knew what Tina Fey said, but many Obama voters had no clue about his associations. They even thought the Republicans were in charge of Congress. They never heard of Rev. Wright or Bill Ayers.

Christian Conservative on November 19, 2009 at 10:38 AM

They never heard of Rev. Wright or Bill Ayers.

Christian Conservative on November 19, 2009 at 10:38 AM

I think everyone in the world knew about Wright. I disagree with Palin on this point about the campaign. The fact was that any personal type attacks were seriously frowned upon by voters. McCain was right to steer clear of the personal politics.

Wright broke as a story, and people let it slide. Not everything “works.”

AnninCA on November 19, 2009 at 10:42 AM

Frum should never use any word with “sex” in it. It reminds everyone that he was turned down by every girl in his senior class and had to take his little sister to Prom, and even then she charged him $50.

I’m sick unto death of the ’sexism’ of men who think that a pretty girl cannot be smart. To them women are only good for one thing, and it’s usually a whole lot of what they ‘aint gettin’. It’s not too far off of the Islam outlook that women should be punished for enticing a man to ‘rape’ her. Yup – asking for it – flog her.

I love it when Palin evokes Reagan; she falls back on tried and true principles that bought us out of the Carter malaise. The Obama malaise is far far worse. The Obama experiment is a failure, America. Now let’s do what we’ve seen work over and over again.

When unemployment is in double digits and skyrocketing inflation isn’t far behind, we don’t have the latitude to play around with gadgets and voodoo. We have to go back to free market principles, lower taxes, and I want the liberals out of my private decisions. They have no right to tell me what kind of car to drive, where to set my thermostat, what kind of lightbulbs to buy, or that I don’t need a mammogram (when I know that breast cancer kills, and early prevention is key).

Can’t wait to hear some idiot RINO tell me that soc/cons are too intrusive into private decisions like abortion…

that private decision …. for which the taxpayer is billed and society pays an even larger price.

Clyde5445 on November 19, 2009 at 11:13 AM

Not a cult of personality. Let me explain it to you. She reminds ordinary people of their own sister, wife, daughter, friend. So when you say that her voice is annoying and makes her sound stupid, people bristle as if you just said, “Your sister’s voice sounds stupid.”

What do you want to bet that Obamao reasons that Sarah’s book is doing so well is because it’s about HIM!

It’s what they do.

Polls are already showing improvement.

“As Sarah Palin blankets the media on a whirlwind book promotion tour, the former vice-presidential contender is clearly back on America’s radar screen. Despite being characterized by many as a divisive force in her party and the nation, Americans are much more likely to give Palin a positive rating (47 percent favorable) than another prominent female leader — Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (28 percent favorable). Moreover, about six in 10 Americans (61 percent) think Palin has been treated unfairly by the press, according to the latest Fox News poll.

The national telephone poll was conducted for Fox News by Opinion Dynamics Corp. among 900 registered voters from Nov. 17 to Nov. 18, 2009. For the total sample, the poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Check the interviews again. She is VERY quick with little hesitation. For example, Levin asked her if there was anything she could praise Obama for as he couldn’t think of a thing. Without missing a beat she said yes, his comments in China recently regarding free speech. Bonus points for not adding a qualifier (as I surely would be sorely tempted to do as in speculating aloud I doubt he really meant it).
