Jesse Jackson has personally or through support of the Democratic party platform betrayed each of these ideals held by a majority of black Americans. I therefore conclude that Mr. Jackson is not a legitimate black person and demand that he turn in his race card immediately.

Why hasn’t this high-minded philosophy been totally embraced by Jesse Jackson and the other contemporaries of MLK, Jr.? Could it be a “character” issue?

Davis’ response will go down as one of the wittiest things a politician has ever said. He’s telling Jackson that Jackson belongs to the past, and has no power in the present.

Jackson seemingly hasn’t listened to MLK in ages. Maybe he needs to replay a few of the old speeches.

I salute Glenn Beck for giving a voice to black conservatives, and I salute those conservatives for having the courage to resist the incredible pressures exerted against them. Kenneth Gladney’s beating at the hands of SEIU thugs at a conservative rally in St. Louis shows that black conservatives have more to deal with than simple peer pressure. That Gladney’s attacker shouted “What kind of n***** are you?!!” while beating this black conservative perfectly demonstrates that race in America is determined by a person’s politics.
