Why doesn’t that surprise me? I seem to recall telling Blatant Blueblood that Obambi’s trip to Asia would be an epic fail. Or was it that it’s be chock full of Obamateurisms? Either way, it was predicted to be a joke of a trip. Taxpayers could have been spared the wasted cost of sending him and the logistical apparatus on this trip. At least if he’da stayed home, he could be a few days closer to his Af-Pak solution, or better yet, get a running start on that Jobs Summit. Idgit.

Gotta tell ya, Mr Precedent, that to a civilization that has been around for thousands of years like China’s, the “long game” is way, way above your pay grade

Interesting… very interesting. Back in the 1970s Mao Tse Tung went out of his way to invite President Richard Nixon to meet him. It was a cordial meeting (and I just saw a video clip of the meeting… which showed Nixon first of all shaking hands then probably in response to someone off camera he gives a very minor bow in acknowledgment). My point here is that President Nixon is the one who opened up relations with China after the 1949 revolution, not President Obambi.

The US president shuffled his papers on the lectern, scratched an eyebrow and looked across at Hu, as his host read out a long speech.

The body language of someone that has not gotten his way, who is very unhappy and wants to get out of there as quickly as possible. The very behaviour expected of a Narcissist and very telling of his lack of dipolmancy and leadership with foriegn governments.

I am sure he did not disapoint the Chinese in what they expected from him, but at least they gave him the opprotunity to visit with them and took him out to get that photo op of him and the great wall for a momento.

In traditional diplomacy, agreements are worked out months before leaders show up, smile, have photographs taken, and sign them.

Obama’s “without preconditions” policy effectively has reversed this traditional timeline. Now the photo-ops come before the agreements — and the agreements themselves may never happen.

If Barry really thought the Chinese govt would allow him to directly address it’s people, he’s even more naive than most of us thought.

Barry is a narcissist. The thought most likely never occured to him or his idiots that tell him what to say, what to do and who hope he sticks to the script; because when he doesn’t he sounds and looks like the idiot he is.

That they would deny him the opprotunity to tell their people how great he is, to tell them how successful he has been in his first year; to tell them how he has improve the standing of America in the world as a leader among nations and is guiding America out of a deep depression by creating and saving jobs with the money he borrowed from them; that had to hurt him deeply.

But the mass media will put the bandaid on that ouche and kiss it to make it better. They will tell us how successful he was in behind door negoiations and improving our relaitonships with China and the other countries he visits, and of course; what a great president he is.
