The incompetent military policies/pc culture that left Hasan uninvestigated are the same incompetent military policies/pc culture that existed under W.

The military dropped the ball and people died. But not because they didn’t want to offend Hasan. It was because they’re just incompetent.

Someone steps into the fray where political leaders are squeamish invertebrates – afraid to insult or affront, yet finding themselves international doormats – and proclaims clear positions based upon strong traditional Judeo-Christian morals and Jeffersonian political ideals with courage and conviction.

Who does that sound like?

When inauguration day 2013 comes around, we will be in far more dire straights than we are today. And it will remind people of that especially cold crisp day in DC in January 1981 when the malaise of Jimmy Carter was wiped away.

History repeats itself. Human nature does not change. It matters not a wit that heroes are women rather than men. Thatcher was a leader much like Reagan. Both are much like Sarah.

Hasan was beyond profiling. He was a flaming jihadi barely containing his death wish against the West.

Was he containing it? Or was he just brushing up on his marksmanship first?

I’m not in favor of harassing soldiers who happen to be Muslim. I would be in favor of taking a long look a soldiers who are Muslim and telling people that all infidels shoudl be killed, though.

She is the opposition – every other politician seems squishy and afraid of hurting someone’s feelings by saying what’s on everyone’s minds.

That’s it in a nutshell, CK. She is the opposition right now. This is where the rest of the GOP falls down. As a group, they are not an effective opposition. The other GOP wannabes, if they come out from undeer their desks at all, will be far more “nuanced” in their remarks, so as to make it arguable that they are both for and against profiling terrorist candidates.

Tell you what, people who complained that Palin was only doing fluff interviews like Oprah got plenty of substance from Palin yesterday. Me, I liked what I heard and read, and I love her ‘like it or lump it, this is who I am’ approach. Very refreshing.

Actually, it was a pretty nice day in 1981; I proudly marched in the Inaugural Parade… The COLD day was in 1985… They cancelled the parade…
