Video: Crowder goes to Gitmo
posted at 9:35 pm on November 16, 2009 by Allahpundit
I knew the smart-ass would end up there someday. I just didn’t think it’d be as a tourist.
Seems like a travelogue at the beginning, but stick with it. He’s got a point. Many points, actually.

Nice and sunny at Club GITMO… Your tropical respite from jihad…
Khun Joe on November 16, 2009 at 9:38 PM
Wait a minute… Allah calling someone a smart-ass? The blogger that can’t say three words about Sarah Palin without putting in some snarky comment? I could go on, but why bother?
rmgraha on November 16, 2009 at 9:44 PM
I love Crowder.
Punditpawn on November 16, 2009 at 9:47 PM

blatantblue on November 16, 2009 at 9:48 PM
Crowder does a good job on this . Yes keep it open.
flyoverboy on November 16, 2009 at 9:48 PM
Excellent. As usual.
bluelightbrigade on November 16, 2009 at 9:50 PM
I imagine a cup of coffee with him would be one hell of a time.

“Touring Gitmo, that’s a peace prize”

Regardless

he’s gonna make a G spit it all over himself in front of the hot ladies at the coffee house

Seven Percent Solution on November 16, 2009 at 9:53 PM
I wish I had a Pocket Crowder
I could whip him out whenever an awkward social moment arose
And everyone would just laugh it out
blatantblue on November 16, 2009 at 9:54 PM
No doubt. You know he is holding back.
CWforFreedom on November 16, 2009 at 9:57 PM
Why’s he gotta playa hate?
blatantblue on November 16, 2009 at 9:58 PM
my favorite was crowder’s video in which he ridiculed michael moore
always will be
blatantblue on November 16, 2009 at 9:58 PM
Outstanding, as always from crowder…
SHARPTOOTH on November 16, 2009 at 9:59 PM
Another good one! Way to go Crowder!
Haven’t seen any Zo lately, think I’ll check in on PJTV later.
JoeAvg on November 16, 2009 at 10:01 PM
Outstanding video.
Funny how nobody in the liberal media, after all these years, bothered to do what Steven Crowder did.
WisCon on November 16, 2009 at 10:01 PM
Anyhow, this video wasn’t one of his funniest but it was probably one of the more informative. It’s almost sickening how well we treat those scumbags.
But the worst part is that we’re treating them like kings and the media is STILL whining about us “torturing” them.
Kronos on November 16, 2009 at 10:01 PM
More than “almost” sickening.
highhopes on November 16, 2009 at 10:06 PM
That’s MR smartass to you buddy…;)

God help our troops.
SouthernGent on November 16, 2009 at 10:21 PM
BTW AP, it’s good to see that whitehouse.gov isn’t putting any cookies on our machines when we log in here, unlike what’s happening over at Atlas Shrugs…
jerrytbg on November 16, 2009 at 10:26 PM
No, we should not close Gitmo. Here’s a big shout out to everyone serving there.
unclesmrgol on November 16, 2009 at 10:29 PM
Sheesh take a cold shower.

Crowder is brilliant. It’s amazing that a 22 year old kid has so much insight, and the curiosity to check things out independent of what the mainstream media has screamed in his ear all his life. I think his career as a comedian is dead, as are his opportunities in Hollywood because of his views. It doesn’t matter, Crowder is going to land on his feet whatever he does. Rock on dude.

By Design – actually going there and showing the truth wouldn’t fit the narrative or aid their allies…..
CrazyFool on November 16, 2009 at 10:37 PM
Sounds like college. Only there was actual sleep deprivation in college.
Crowder hits another one out of the park.
MadisonConservative on November 16, 2009 at 10:41 PM
$50 per meal? WTF? We ought let Sheriff Joe Arpio run that place! Ham sandwiches, pink jumpsuits and tents for all prisoners!
Tony737 on November 16, 2009 at 10:42 PM
Good ol’ Arpio and his cost-cutting…what’s that guy up to nowadays?
Dark-Star on November 16, 2009 at 10:50 PM
That was a very good video — To Bad some of our Government is at war with “The People” of the USA — Uncle Scam is getting to be Too Much …of a pain..

Liberals always, always, always plug their ears and go “La La La” whenever confronted with something like this video, or any other true information about life and conditions at Guantanamo Bay.
I have personally found that being forced to learn and not evade the truth about Gitmo truly has the power to rock liberal minds like few other subjects.
Edouard on November 16, 2009 at 11:07 PM
I just checked that. I thought maybe I already had that from visiting a .gov website in the past so I deleted the entire folder. I then refreshed her blog and there it was again.
aikidoka on November 16, 2009 at 11:11 PM
Sure the folks in jail in Gitmo have it better than me… but that implies that getting a JOB down there might even be better… Caribbean beaches, sunshine, the occasional hurricane. Okay, the last part would be lame, but seriously, they’ve GOT to need non-military workers down there, right? :)

I really appreciate this video. It is important to emphasize the lengths we go to in treating our, arguably, prisoners of war fairly.
Since this war will not be over in our lifetimes (how’s that for an ouch!), it is of value for the world to know that we will bend over backward to be kind. It does NOT mean we have to give these perps Constitutional protections.
That JAG guy didn’t look much like Tom Cruise, though he was into baseball.
GnuBreed on November 16, 2009 at 11:30 PM
He’s right.
AUINSC on November 16, 2009 at 11:43 PM
Fantastic job Crowder.
boomer on November 16, 2009 at 11:50 PM
Shirtless Crowder looks kinda hot. It’s a good thing I like girls otherwise he’ll be receiving embarrassing e-mails from me.
AaronGuzman on November 17, 2009 at 12:20 AM
Answer to his question:
Yes, it should remain open, and I should be able to vacation there on taxpayer dollars – er, I mean able to be imprisoned there on taxpayer dollars.
Daggett on November 17, 2009 at 12:28 AM
On a technical note, Crowder seems to have gone to Guantanamo Military Base, not the prison itself.
Vincenzo on November 17, 2009 at 12:47 AM
Crowder has gotten to be a national treasure. Well, at least those of us that haven’t swallowed the liberal kool-aid.
docdave on November 17, 2009 at 1:13 AM
When does Obama go there?
And stay.

ObaMao wants to give Guantanamo back to Cuba. As soon as the prison is closed, ObaMao will close the base and return the land to Cuba. All the buildings will be given to Cuba. Hospital, Homes, Prison, Naval Port and more.
Ed Laskie on November 17, 2009 at 6:47 AM
Please tell me this is all a dream and the fools didn’t elect a marxist radical freak as our president.
marklmail on November 17, 2009 at 7:27 AM
I’m still flummoxed that there’s a US military base in Cuba. How the feck did we be able to keep a chunk of Cuba all these decades? Since the 60s I was always led to believe that Cuba was verboten to the US. The 60s missile crisis sorta put that in focus. “Cuba is only 90 miles away from Florida!” Big friggin whoop de doo. Had I known we had a military base already set up in Cuba it wouldn’t have seemed so dire. Fecking media.
Coronagold on November 17, 2009 at 8:31 AM
Just want to say thank you to all the troops at Gitmo for all that you go through-from the prisoners, our media, our government officials, and gitmo protesters- to keep us safe.
God’s blessing on you.
journeyintothewhirlwind on November 17, 2009 at 10:37 AM
I wonder if anyone in the federal government has considered that US Supermax facilities are NOT up to geneva convention rules? Have they even considered the political and legal attacks that those prisons will receive if they do incarcerate gitmo POW’s at them?
Just wonderin …
