Video: Glenn Beck devotes entire show to black conservatives

posted at 9:03 pm on November 13, 2009 by Allahpundit

A brilliant idea, although I hope the participants know that they’re now fair game for “progressive” blackface photoshops mocking them as traitors to their race. The Clinton coalition is fracturing, thanks to The One’s statism on steroids; every white surbanbite vote that’s lost will have to be made up with a minority vote, which means the volume on the demagoguery will have to be turned up that much higher. You’re a brave man, Charles Payne.

You can watch the entire episode at Fox News. Enjoy.

I was convinced I was a redneck dumbass racist, yet this beck show was, by far, the single best hour he has ever had. It was fascinating – A plus

Ris4victory on November 13, 2009 at 9:08 PM

We enjoy watching Charles Payne every week, and listening to him on the radio on weekends while driving.
Beck’s idea for this show was excellent. It will take some time, but the voices of conservative blacks will be heard.

I watched the whole show–I teared up, I cheered, I shouted — GREAT show and it needs to be done again and again! “I have a dream”!

Cindy Munford on November 13, 2009 at 9:12 PM

This was a really good show. I caught about half and submit that there were some courageous folks there today. Outspoken, courageous and conservative. They appeared to adamantly indicate that they suffer all kinds of discrimination for being conservative.

Glenn Beck did the country a great service by doing this show today. My hat’s off to him and those courageous folks.

I just viewed a clip of educated, well informed, articulate citizens of the United States of America making a point that hit home…

… but that is because I am color blind.

To Jessie Jackson, Jeremiah Wright, Al Sharpton, Eric Holder and Obama, these individuals will need to be liquidated.

Beck is gifted at explaining what’s going on in this country. Beck has become a national treasure.

I’m hoping that he and Rush and Sarah are talking a lot behind the scenes. We need discontent, but we need unity to come from this discontent, not splintering.

Good show.
The Democrats have done incredible harm to modern blacks.
It’s time for them to break the bonds of dependency that the Democrats have intentionally forged for them in order to enslave them to the party.

AP, what you say is true, as well as it is a shame. We need to be supportive, they are being brave and they have the ability to make a difference. They are dismissing the “victimhood” the Democrats give people as their only option and should be applauded.

Allahpundit on November 13, 2009 at 9:34 PM

The show was flat out amazing…and inspiring!

I truly had some hope renewed.

The Left’s pandering to the Black community is intended to keep them enslaved! The Left’s pandering to EVERY “group” is intended to keep them beholden to the Left.

Liberty or slavery. These people on Beck’s show tonight are choosing Liberty…even if it’s harder!

What if vouchers were given to the poor instead of paying their heating bills and installing for them new windows – as many cities do.

If vouchers were abundant then public schools will shut down. Private school companies will come through and purchase empty buildings.

There will no longer be a clarion call for Property Tax increases.

Think about it.

My kid won’t be going to public school, my taxes should reflect that, sadly there is a perpetual cash grab from the Govt.

Hopefully with mass communications people will become more informed and after some time the stupid masses will call the Govts bluff.

Go Beck! ~and all the bright people shown here who break out of the shuck ‘n jive straitjacket that the Dems love to keep them in.

The Democratic Pity Plantation is the biggest ghetto and insult to all blacks.

Keeping them in permanent grievance & eternal victim mode.

(Can I get a Reverend Al! from somebody?!)

Instead of getting on with risking and daring and achieving.

Like every other American.

The past sucked for almost every group at some point.

We need to struggle to keep what is great in America- that freed us all- alive and strong and vibrant.

And conserve the Constitution’s values that secure our Liberty.

Beck beats Obama at this hands down.

Kudos to all involved!

profitsbeard on November 13, 2009 at 9:40 PM

I saw the show today too.

Awesome show. Although I thought it sucked big time that they were getting flack for just being libertarian or conservative.

I also noticed that one of them mentioned the plantation analogy and how the left and Dems try to put them on it.

BobAnthony on November 13, 2009 at 9:43 PM

I suspected Beck was going to do this show about a month ago when he had the Black preacher from Texas on. There was something Beck said back then that was a hint he would do it.

There was a lot of energy from the group there and the show could have gone for 4 to 6 hours easily.

ny59giants on November 13, 2009 at 9:43 PM

Beck knows where people can make a difference, today’s show and the show he did a few months ago with Princeton University students taking a class on the Constituion is evidence of that. I give him a lot of credit for thinking out of the box.

Bingo! They are inter-related feeding off each other. Without social virtue have fun trying to limit the government fiscally. Without fiscal discipline, huge amounts of money goes towards people for nothing and it weakens the virtues.

Sapwolf on November 13, 2009 at 9:48 PM

My money is on Charles Payne at 1700 when he goes off on the guy who said Payne is weak.

By the way, the left WILL NOT touch this. This will be ignored as they will realize it is too powerful a message. They won’t want to attract attention.

wheels on November 13, 2009 at 9:55 PM

There’s no such thing as a black conservative. There are only those that believe in the implicit, unalienable rights of Man and those that seek power over others for its own sake. The former would rather not be constained by meaningless distinctions, and the latter only use such distinctions to enslave their fellow man.

Allahpundit on November 13, 2009 at 9:34 PM

I’m not sure if this is a serious question, but I will give you a serious answer.

It is sometimes irrational, which should be disregarded. But some of what is not irrational is because you categorize them according to your own use, and usually in a derogatory manner. For example, the application of the label: populist on both Palin and Beck to describe their political views. It’s poor style, as it dismisses policy without examination, and it tends to read as dismissive of their persons.

But in fairness, that does seem to have diminished dramatically as of late.

Which is why I come here every day, AP. Great concept, content, and execution, Beck. It was far more fluid and, dare I say it, “organic” than most open formats. There really was no script, Beck gave everyone enough time to speak their minds, and some really really great things were said.

The current Administration’s war on disposable income will settle the poor quite nicely.

The current system of a guaranteed free public education–somewhere–dealer’s choice as to where, what, and by whom– is not working much better than the Pay and/or pray system that operated for most of this nation’s history.
