The craziest thing of all is that Newt seems completely oblivious to the fact that his betrayal of conservative ideology has come with a price. He still thinks he is circa 1992 Newt. Sorry pal but that ship has sailed.

I'm sorry Newt, who you are speaks so loudly I can't hear what you're saying. Was that "I'm totally blown away by how that NY-23 thing went. I mean, 'What was I thinking?'

That stuff about how it was a local decision has been debunked. Sessions and Steele got caught with their fingers in the cookie jar. You were either along for the ride or you ignored the updates. Doesn't matter to me. You made your bed, now you're sleeping with the scuzzybear.

Newt has some good ideas, but what we need now is someone who is capable of disassembling the beast that has enslaved the Free Market. I saw on his web site something about doing away with 12th grade and instead give voucher for higher education.
My youngest daughter was excused from 11th and 12th and Missouri paid for her Associates at North Western University.
It lets those with high potential advance quicker. It was a state program where this belongs. We need to give Education back to states and local school boards. The Federal Government has too much control over what should be local issue. The Free Market will always demand better education and lower costs. The Department of Education is too political and needs to be eliminated.

Newt, do you not realize that every parent already has the right to know how their child is doing in school. As teachers we try to make it a point to let a parent know how well or poorly their child is doing. The charter school stuff is pure silliness. Get your track shoes on and run as far away from that idea as possible especially if you're working and agreeing with the President. I can only see pure disaster. God help us all.

We need to make CLEAR to Fox that we are tired of their re-tread guests! Get some new republican talant on there. We are SICK to death of hearing what Newt, and Rove, and Morris have to say. There are MANY, MANY good conservative voices out there that need the publicity so Americans can get some face recognition!

Fox get with it, or are YOU part of our problem too?

It is about time. Besides the Constitution, the Government needs a set of realistic goals that it can follow. Most of U.S. set goals and revise them upon attainment.

Today, all politicians seem to think it is their right to rewrite the Constitution. The Constitution and Bill of Rights are not a living document. They are the rules established by our founding fathers by which I, you, and everyone else are governed. To change this document is lengthy process for a reason - being able to change the rules that govern U.S. on a whim gives far too much power into the hands of politicians whose egos get in the way.

Another "Contract with American" is a far more realistic method to move the country forward, the only requirement to assure their legality is to review them and assure they support and comply with the Constitution.

My final point is to remember the guidelines for goals. Are they SMART?
    * S Specific
    * M Measurable
    * A Attainable
    * R Relevant
    * T Time-bound

Just like the RNC to want and steal the conservation message so as to keep their phony bologna issues alive. You had your chance Newt and you let Clinton back you down. Time to shut up and quit crying. I have always liked you but your backbone always turns to gel, same for Michael Steele

How long does it take to come up with

1. Lower taxes
2. No socialized health care
3. Stop spending bazillions of dollars we don't have

There's your first principles. Mr. Steele, if you want, I can print out a few flyers at Kinkos and get you started with that too.

Also, how did Gingrich, of all people, end up being the one to break this news?

Ironic isn't it -- actually irony isn't the right world, how about chutzpah? And brought to you from a guy who wants to side with the global warmers. Give me a break! Newt, get off the stage.

well the Tea Party Patriots have ALREADY been working on a Contract FROM America

typical of Newt and Dick Armey (who made the Tea Party Express) to glom onto any grass roots organic movement

This from 9/22:

    9/22 Update: A new project from the TeaPartyPatriots: Contract From America:

    We would like to introduce you to the Contract From America website, our new initiative, where you can join your fellow Americans in a collaborative grassroots effort to create a document that offers real change in Washington, D.C. and the state capitols. Click here to go to the Contract From America homepage now.

    This website provides you with the opportunity to offer your innovative free market, limited government solutions to our nation’s pressing problems and to vote and comment on the ideas of others. We believe that the result of this grassroots-generated marketplace of ideas will be a document that not only represents the will of the American people, but promotes unique ideas that will breathe new life into the economic conservative movement.

Speaking of TEA Parties, this from Josh Painter:

Sarah Palin to keynote First TEA Party National Convention

From the TEA Party Nation Website:

    First National Tea Party Convention
    February 4-6, 2010
    Opryland Hotel Nashville, TN

    Tea Party Nation is pleased to announce the First National Tea Party Convention. The convention is aimed at bringing the Tea Party Movement leaders together from around the nation for the purpose of networking and supporting the movements' multiple organizations principle goals. This event will be co-sponsored by other national groups that believe in a responsible and limited federal government that is responsive to all the people. National Taxpayers Union, American Majority, Smart Girl Politics, and SurgeUSA are just a few of the organizations contributing their talents and time to this convention.

    Special Keynote Speaker for the event will be Sarah Palin, Governor of
    Alaska (2006-2009) and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential Nominee.

    The convention will feature well known speakers, workshops, seminars, information centers, and organizational tools for leaders to take back to their respective local Tea Party organizations.

    We are giving Tea Party leaders the first opportunity to purchase convention tickets before opening registration up to the general public.

    * A portion of the Convention ticket price will go to form the TPN PAC which will be dedicated to finding and supporting Traditional American candidates in the future.

    Website information coming soon!

Since Nashville has more than one "Opryland" hotel, we checked, and the event is at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. We also found a tentative agenda here.

Look out Palin-haters. Once The Arctic Fox and the TEA Party movement join forces and start coordinating, the Obamunist media, the radical left wing and the Vichy Republicans are going to be in a world of hurt.

- JP

Tell me again Sarah Palin isn't running for President.

Oh, and go to hell Dick Armey!

Newt has been lying to people for 15 years claiming he wrote the "Contract With America. The C.W.A was written by Larry Hunter, Dick Armey, Bill Paxon and Bob Walker.
