Showing the wrong footage should elicit an apology for the wrong footage. Wrong footage is not a lie either. But it is bad form.

I’m not convinced that this is just a matter of running the wrong footage. Watch the Hannity portion again, when the camera pans across the Mall. I noticed that the cloudy sky jumped oddly up and down a bit in relation to the background trees, as if the sky portion was edited in from a different video. It looks similar to bad green-screen commercials for car dealers where the background moves inappropriately with respect to the actor in the foreground.

To me, that looks like the video equivalent of a bad Photoshop job, not just running the wrong footage at the wrong time. Look for yourself and see if you notice it too.

First, I don’t like FOX pulling this and I am writing to them.

Second, CNN just did video where they showed Ann Coulter and McCain knocking our military for alllowing PC to interfere in National Security. Then of course, CNN had to flash one of their moronic reporter-personalities ‘tsk, tsking’ Ann and launch into a somewhat amusing desense of the idea that our crazed shooter was not protected by PC since..(drumroll) some black EM shot other GIs (and this may or may not have been Islam related — I couldn’t tell — but other soliders had shot fellow soldiers without PC being involved! Whatever that has to do with not investigating jihadist remarks can best be explained by…MSNBC or the New York Times, I am sure.

I would review the Comedy Channel but you guys are probably going to guess at what I could do with them.

You are unwilling to admit that you made a mistake in your language that stemmed from your confusion about video editing. You apparently have no experience in this area but won’t admit to how that limits your understanding.

You misspoke based on your ignorance. You were talking generalities when specifics were warranted.

Either way, what happened does not happen inadvertently as you would like to believe. It is as deliberate a set of actions as making a PB&J sandwich.

Have you ever accidentally made peanut butter and mustard sandwich? No. That would be analogous to what you’ve suggested happened.

You made an accusation about my professional acumen but you won’t acknowledge that your limited understanding of videography and editingare problematic in this discussion. If you knew one thing about the editing process you would understand how foolish you sound.

You’re simply being obstinate and dishonest, perhaps to save face. You need to leggo that ego.

It was a stupid, lazy or inept error by staff, intentional or not. But Hannity owns up when he’s in error, except when badgering his staff about weddings.

I believe this was Hannity. I seriously doubt Hannity is trying to please the administration. This was an oversight… they probably meant to point it out as a comparison of what libs said were the same numbers…. but the 9/12 crowds were much bigger. Even though the “estimates” were the same… Something like that.

I hope Hannity explains what happened and does just ignore it.

Just keep denying reality because it is finally starting to sink in with the electorate that they were sold a bill of goods in 2008.

Your attitude is going to keep the Dems out of power for the next 50 years.

Unless of course the Republicans start acting like Dems again once they have power.

It is amazing that politicians think they can win for long by veering left.

Americans are not socialists! We have never had the oppressive poverty that causes Europeans to want government control! We are the descendants of people who left serfdom to form self-government!

We are a self-selected group who are willing to put up with the inequities of capitalism because a merit system is more just than social engineering by elites!

Rugged individualism is simply more fun than collective poverty.

Fox didn’t do us any favors

They did not intend to do any favors to conservative activists at any of the Tea Party Rallies.

This fraud equates FOX with other news sources. Trying so hard to be favored by this administration hurts everyone.

Where is the moderation on this and other comments by a johnnynobody or something? This is way out of line and SHOULD be dealt with as severally as someone using strong ways to point out the First Lady’s less than attractive attributes.

The whole discussion rests on my assertion that Hannity (or his producer) did not intentionally pull the wrong tape/video/footage (whatever you want to call it) and that those who alleged that this was an intentional deceit were doing so not because there were any facts in evidence to bolster their claim, but because they don’t like Sean Hannity and were eager to stab him in the back.

You began by saying that Hannity is “pathetic”. You went on to say that “I do not believe for one second that this footage aired independent of Hannity’s wishes”, and “Somebody made the decision to broadcast a lie”, and you made the unbelievable and idiotic claim that this nevah evah happens by “accident” – something that would cause the jaw of any 3rd grader who regularly watches the news to drop because that claim is so demonstrably false.
