The other night late at night there were some who were calling for interment camps and talking about taking out 1000 or so for execution as an example… Just thought you should know.

It was pretty unseemly. Of course it was just venting over the killings at Fort Hood. But still. I was appalled by it. And I tried to say so.

Maybe not worldwide, but in America, polling has shown that the vast majority of Muslims do oppose terrorism, though the minority that support it is a real danger. As for humanitarian aid to Muslims, I suspect that to the extent that they are aware of it, they are grateful. But a lot of people aren't aware, because the media hates reporting these kinds of things (especially under Bush. Now that Jesus is President, perhaps this will change - I mean Change (TM)). As for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, opposing them is wrong-headed, but not really an indication of disloyalty - a lot of people can be irrational when war is concerned, mostly because war is hell. I'm opposed to shills like CAIR that claim to oppose terror falsely, but there are a lot of Muslims that just want to be left alone so they can pray to Mecca five times a day or whatever, and its not fair to lump them in with terrorist sympathizers. They could be more vocal sometimes, but since terrorists especially love to target Muslims who speak out, I think you can attribute some of that silence to fear, not disloyalty.

This is further evidence that our president is Nixonian and thinks in terms of them vs. us. Lieberman’s honest disagreement with him bugs Obama so much that he referenced it in the form of an awkward internaional “joke.”
