D.C. sniper executed

posted at 9:52 pm on November 10, 2009 by Allahpundit

Honestly, it’s amazing that there haven’t been copycats. With a little rifle training and a few modified vehicles, a cell of, say, eight men could wreak havoc potentially for months. Instead, they’re still messing around with high explosives. Well, most of them.

The time of death? 9:11 p.m.

Muhammad, 48, a man who directed what many law enforcement officials consider one of the worst outbreaks of crime in the nation’s history, died in Virginia’s death chamber while relatives of his victims looked on. Unlike his victims, however, Muhammad knew when and how he was going to die. He and Jamaican immigrant Lee Boyd Malvo, then 17, killed 10 people in the Washington area during a terrifying October 2002 rampage; they also have been linked to shootings in several other states.

State authorities escorted a denim and flip-flop clad Muhammad into a small room at the Greensville Correctional Center and strapped him to a cross-shaped table. He was injected with a series of lethal drugs until he died…

Despite scores of witnesses and hundreds of pieces of evidence — the sum of which pointed directly at Muhammad and Malvo and led to capital murder convictions — law enforcement officials have not pinned down a solid motive for the shootings and cannot say for sure who specifically fired the fatal shots.

Really? No idea at all?

Update: “He basically watched my dad breathe his last breath. Why shouldn’t I watch his last breath?”

Lol. An eye for an eye? It would be better to make him walk around at a gas station for a while, not knowing when he was going to actually get shot.

I’ve wondered that for a long time. I think the DC snipers were a pilot project. It got canceled as a broader plan because it was too effective. 50 teams could shut America down totally. But you would see a backlash for such an assault that would lead to mass expulsions and loss of valuable infiltrated positions. No, it is much better to quietly infest you from top to bottom and only employ terror enough to keep you on edge and willing to give a little more up for Islam and to get used to being a victim. Look at India, they have been forced into accepting Muslim outrage after Muslim outrage to maintain social cohesion. You have Muslims now and many more coming. When the numbers are right the DC snipers will look like pikers.

For those of you that don’t live in Northern Va, let me tell you it was absolutely terrifying. I remember for those several weeks that getting gas was a life and death decision. People would get out of their cars, start looking around, get the gas hose set up and pumping, then jump back in the car, or crouch beside their car. It was funny, and frightening at the same time.

As for my opinion on tonights events:

Goodbye, asshole.

While were on the heels of Hasans Terrorist acts, the thought occured to me,as my mind has endless scenarios!!

Consider this,in light of Hasan’s inflitration of the US
Military,what about a Teacher,male or female,that wipes
out a class in school,

or at a Univerity, where a professor is behind his pedsetal,
and convienently hidden is an AK-47,and grenades!!!

Or,the stealth Jihady at any business or church,no,not
a mosque,and has a suicide vest ,

or,like the missing nuclear weapons, five or six that were
loaded on a bomber by so-called mistake,or a steath jihady
sitting in a Nuclear Silo who has access to the keys and codes,re-targetting the MERV’s for major US cites,

talk about,striking from within!!!!!!!!!!!

So,question is,of some of these scenarios,is any of them
being treated seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the man had repented of his evil i might be more inclined to try to show some forgivenes.
I of course could not nor would i attempt to forgive him for his crimes (only the family members can do that)..

But if he at least showed some remorse maybe then i would be nicer..

But nope he went to hell
thinking allah was going to be there with 72 virgins..

What a sick shock he must be having right now
to wake up in hell with mohammed right besides you..

Sorry hell is real,
So is heaven..
So is the bible

Its your choice in this life to choose what you believe in
For some its a tootsie roll
Others believe in panzies..
some others say they believe in mohammed

Well this man killed many thinking he was doing allahs work
what a terrible shock to wake up for all of eternity
to find mohammed right along side of you Roasting in hell
screaming (i was wrong)…

Too late now asswipe..
and its your own damned fault..

I dont feel sorry for you..
I feel only sorrow for your victims of yoru islamic jihad..
and yes it was another follower of Islam that caused mass death..

It’s not to late to execute Malvo. They are suspected of crimes in other states including Alabama where one of the execution methods is electrocution and Washington State where one of the execution methods is hanging. He can still take a ride in the “Yellow Momma” or he could swing.
“Alabama – If execution is after 07-01-02, inmate may choose electrocution, otherwise lethal injection.”
” Washington – Lethal injection, unless inmate elects hanging.”

During the summer of 2006, an unusually large number of drivers reported “debris” breaking windows and cracking windshields.

One theory was a higher-than-normal amount of gravel on the roadway, although I don’t recall an unusual amount of roadwork. (Chicago always has roadwork somewhere…)

Another theory was a DC copycat, only with a light rifle instead of an actual sniper rifle.

As I recall, the FBI looked into it, but no arrests, and the whole thing just .. dropped off the radar.

In keeping with BL@KBIRD’s statement, if the D.C. sniper was a test of effectiveness, the hypothetical Chicago sniper could be seen as a test in fire-and-evasion.

Try as they might, even Dubya and Cheney couldn’t keep us completely safe with their vigilance… As this and Ft. Hood have clearly demonstrated, we have been attacked several times since 9/11.

Now more Americans will pay the ultimate price as the Nimrod-in-Chief meekly goes down the ‘enforcement path’ prescribed Inside-the-Beltway egg-heads.

Screw you.

As human beings we must be able to recognize who amongst us are not fit to continue living amongst us and deal with them for the benefit of the rest. This piece of human debris demonstrated, clearly, his inability to co-exist with other human beings. He cannot be trusted to be among us and therefore needs to go.

We don’t have the right, again, as “humans” to murder without reason per the Ten Commandments……..but we certainly do have the right to kill those who threaten us who do remain and who have threatened us for doing so.

REPOST FROM HEADLINES —

Just for the record, he lived in the same town as I did (before the killing started). Once he was arrested, I went down and pulled his divorce file and copied it.

You would be shocked to read what was in there. They cut him off from his kids – no contact. From what I could tell, it was based on standard Muslim rhetoric that he uttered at his wife and which they used as justification for treating him like he was dangerous.

Funny thing is that he had no domestic violence on his record. Just his wife’s perceptions (and she was a Muslim also so she knew what the rules of female behavior were). The entire sniper escapade was to snuff her without it looking like he did it.

Was it Muslim motivated? Not by my investigation. Just a guy treated like sh!t by DV courts so mommy could be a victim and win custody of the kids. It just went way further than anyone could have imagined.

They better never let junior out – he’s at least as dangerous as his dead partner was.

People give their lives for the greater good knowingly and unknowingly, willingly and unwillingly all the time. To allow a person that has shown beyond reasonable doubt that they are unfit to remain in society, unfit to consume society resources and a possible danger to members of society, i.e. guards and other prison workers is in my opinion far worse then the possibility of executing an innocent.

The other problem I have is that it should not be all about you. You don’t want it to happen. You don’t like it. You want it stopped. You think it is wrong. It’s all about you, you, you so why don’t you nut up and look at the bigger picture. Would you feel bad when the turd escapes and kills again? It’s happen far to many times in the past. Mostly likely more times then we have executed “innocent” people.

I honor those that have given their lives to protect my way of living. Including the unknown innocents that have given their lives during a “wrong” execution.

johnnyU on November 11, 2009 at 6:13 AM

Well for one he’s not black and according to my bro-in-law we ONLY execute blacks because we are a bunch of racists.

Keep the bottles ready. No way dude. This was literally a smoking gun capture. Anyone that doubts he did this has sh!t for brains and is therefore irrelevant in the conversation. As soon as he is able to walk he should be taken outside and shot. End of story. Why waste time on a silly trial when the turd was caught guns in hand? Fights about for Islam, not for Islam, PTSD, not PTSD are all conversations for a fine adult beverage by the fire after this turd has been flushed.

RagTag on November 11, 2009 at 6:34 AM

Living in the area where these two were killing . It was quite enervating to have to watch for who knew what type of car knowing that an assassin was targeting random people in random areas. The killing of the hispanic at White Flint Body shop who was on a lawnmower was one of my stops. The other location on Georgia Ave was gas station that I normally used, so he was targeting places I visited every day.
Calls from the ATF about possible rifles sold was also interesting though of no help.

What really helped as finally someone tracked the car sold and got the right tag and that info once released to the public, the public found these killers within hours. The Montgomery County police work was terrible. They kept focusing on white trucks and vans. It was the car bought in NJ that was correct and that car was described in the DC shooting that the police ignored. They were so focused on the white male killer theory.

Malvo’s stupid letter to the police were the clues needed. I figured the kid had an urge to get caught.

However though their justification was jihad mostly it was the desire to kill and one upmanship with the police. These two were enjoying the hunt. The motivation was was the fun of the hunt, not Islam as much.

The smart person was the ex wife who believed that her ex husband was a killer and kept changing addresses so she could not be found. She was smart enough to take defensive action and lived.

This case like 9-11 the attacks stopped once the public had enough information. The jet in PA that was taken down rather than used as a weapon because of public knowledge saved lives and the truck driver checking the rest stop tags and locating the car and then blocking the entrance and exits until the cops could come for the arrest.

RAH on November 11, 2009 at 6:57 AM

The death penalty is not about getting even, or about justice. It is just something that has to be done occasionally, like taking out the trash. It is not pleasant and it is properly revolting to normal people. But the best way to treat this particular trash is to forget him and not give his memory a life longer than the 24 hour news cycle demands.

And why would that be a bad thing? He’s entitled to due process, and that means a fair trial and counsel. He’s entitled to a lawyer, and his lawyer is obligated to fight like Hell for him. If he didn’t, our courts would be meaningless in terms of protecting the rights of the accused.

It’s so funny because you guys love to talk about the Constitution, but you forget that, what, 3 of the 8 substantive amendments in the Bill of Rights are about protecting the rights of the accused. You guys seem to forget that.

I lived in DC while this was going on as well. Terrifying time. My mother was in one of the parking lots where someone was killed the very next day. I remember seeing people in white vans put signs in their cars saying “It’s not me.”

I was in school at the time and was working my way through working the graveyard shift, and there was a weird white van that was always in the parking lot there – I used to get a kick out of seeing cars that would drive by, circle around, write down the license plate, and leave. Every night, sometimes several times a night.

Glad this monster is dead. So it goes.

As guilty as I think he was (and I think he was damn guilty), I can’t condone the state taking a human life, even one as vile as this one. There will come a day when an innocent man is put to death, and that day, his blood will be on all our hands. The sad thing is, it almost certainly has happened already. A dark day in U.S. history, just IMHO.

sobincorporated on November 11, 2009 at 12:02 AM

There have been slightly more than a 1000 executions since the death penalty moratorium was lifted in the mid 70s. And there have been over 100 exonerations in that time as well. Most disturbing, most of those exonerations have come from innocence projects at law schools – not by any kind of due process. Just those darn “do-gooder” you folks are always complaining about.

That’s an unacceptably high number of exonerations, and the risk of putting innocent people to death (which we absolutely have done on many occasions now) is the primary reason why the death penalty is unconstitutional.

It’s not that the death penalty is cruel or unusual, it’s that an innocent person wrongly accused of a non-capital offense is released from jail, given his money back, and usually given some kind of restitution. However, an innocent person that is put to death does not get the chance to get that repayment, because he’s dead.

I don’t see how that’s equal protection of the law. I do think the death penalty is morally permissible – it just happens to be unconstitutional anyway.

An oppressive state has no right to deprive man of the ulitmate expression of liberty: Life.

I’ll never understand why Muslims have an obsession with virgins-the least fun of all.
Personally, I prefer my women well seasoned and….er….stewed!
Unfortunately for John Muhammad though, I don’t think his rotting corpse will attract anybody.

I agree with the other pro-life posters — there is no contradiction between wanting helpless, innocent babies in the womb to live, and wanting murderers to die for their crimes.

Here’s another thought about the death penalty: Every person has the right to use deadly force to defend himself. This sniper ambushed people, taking a way their right to use deadly force to stop him. The state acts in the victim’s place, rightly using lethal force to stop him forever.

It’s especially satisfying in the case of murderers who pick on kids and others smaller/weaker than they. The state takes the place of the child and fights back, killing the killer.

Makes sense to me.

So, you’re arguing that those who were killed on the way to killing the wife should be ignored because they “don’t count”?

Or that, somehow, he wasn’t a “terrorist” because he wasn’t “radical enough”?

Perhaps he didn’t hate the U.S. of A. enough – he’s still a terrorist and murderer.

Mew

* Oh, and the whole “the wife knew the deal” crap – does that apply to a white-trash marriage where “she had it coming”?

acat on November 11, 2009 at 8:27 AM

It is certainly tragic that innocent people have been punished for things they didn’t do. That fact alone does not render execution as a form of punishment unconstitutional. It does motivate groups to push for better investigation of facts to insure that the convicted are truly guilty. This is one of the benefits of a free, compassionate society. We find what is bent or broken in our system and fix it.
Muhammad earned his punishment by his own acts. Kind of like, God doesn’t send you to hell, you send yourself.
Hasan likewise has earned the death penalty. That doesn’t mean he will receive it.

Did you juxtapose the 1000 and 100 numbers to intentionally give the false impression that 10% of the people executed were possibly innocent, or did you just not realize that the number of people with death sentences who have not been executed is much higher than those who have and therefore you’re comparing apples and oranges?

How many were exonerated after being executed? That might help you make your case, such as it is, if you have such a number.

He has joined his namesake in the 8th circle of Hell; I hope he shares his eternal punishment.

In the Inferno section of Dante’s trilogy The Divine Comedy, Mohammed is described as being one of the “Sowers of Discord,” showing his entrails to Dante and Virgil in the Eighth Circle of Hell:

Inferno XXVIII, 19-42.

The poets are in the ninth
chasm of the eighth circle, that of the Sowers of
Discord, whose punishment is to be mutilated.
Mahomet shows his entrails to Dante and Virgil
while on the left stands his son Ali, his head cleft
from chin to forelock.

Just his wife’s perceptions (and she was a Muslim also so she knew what the rules of female behavior were)…..

Was it Muslim motivated? Not by my investigation.
