Via Greg Hengler, the key bit runs from around 3:15 to 4:30. Cynics might regard the Sarahcuda name-check in the book as a mercenary attempt to capitalize on her rock-star popularity among social cons (good thing I’m not a cynic!) but Prejean’s point is well taken, especially the comparison between Olbermann and Hannity. Don’t think so? Watch this golden oldie and try to imagine the reaction among the lords of outrage on the left had it involved Hannity and, say, Dennis Miller goofing on some lefty pageant contestant who’d spoken in favor of gay marriage. QED. And that’s not the only time the modern-day Murrow’s devoted bizarrely long stretches of his show to dumping on her.
As for the “sex tape,” which she also discussed with Hannity last night, I don’t think hypocrisy is the problem. There’s nothing hypocritical about a Christian sinning; the whole point of the faith is that people will inevitably sin, which is why redemption is needed. The problem, rather, is that it raises the possibility that she doesn’t take her faith all that seriously to begin with. I’ll be curious to see how well the book sells now, knowing who the target audience is.

His enlightened approach to confronting those with whom you disagree is to “isolate” them, and then proceed to “mock and ridicule” your adversary, much like you did before you knew better, in kindergarten.
That’s one of the big problems with “libs” these days. They simply REFUSE to GROW UP and conduct themselves as adults.
Ignore their immature, childish rants. Regardless of their chronological age, they’re the intellectual equivalent of the pre-school playground bully.
Maybe someday they’ll find “life” beyond their mommie’s basement, finally grow up, and go out into the world and learn to try to get along with others. Until they do however, they’re not worth wasting any sleep over.

You’ll be disappointed… I have never defended Perez Hilton. He asked a question…Prejean answered. I’ve always stated her answer, although I disagree with it, was given in honesty and with tact. It should have been left at that.
Then…lefties were derided Prejean for her answer. At the same time, many here derided Hilton for his rebuttal video. It all escalated from there.

She took her opposition to gay marriage seriously enough to give a politically incorrect answer that, had she stated otherwise, would have ensured her victory as Miss America, tho.
I call that taking something very seriously. She put her title on the line for her opinion. Is she some kind of saint? No. Does she speak for Christians? Not for me.
She is getting attacked because she opposed gay marriage. There are many gays who oppose gay marriage, its a debatable issue. I have marched in parades to build awareness for HIV research, so I am not some homophobe.
She lost her crown because she opposed gay marriage. A person is allowed to have an opinion. PC is killing us. Look at Fort Hood.
I really don’t care about her personally, only that we have some kind of RAMPANT PC thought cleansing going on whereby someone can lose a “beauty” contest based upon POLITICAL CORRECTNESS.

This seems like a parallel universe. Here is how I see things going down.
Prejean was asked a question about gay marriage in a pageant, and answered honestly.
Her answer angered the left, and they’ve been trying to destroy her ever since. The right wing far from setting her up as a role model have been more going… um… wtf did she do that’s so bad?
I’m still kind of waiting for an answer. Should she have lied? Are only left wing ideas acceptable in public? Is she a hypocrite because she is against gay marriage and (gasp!) wore a bikini? and (horrors!) posed in lingerie! Topless! or (omgznooo!) made a private sex tape?
