Wouldn’t it be interesting to call this Pro-abortion Congresswoman and ask her why she voted for HR 3269 when it goes against pro-choice ideology. Talk about selling women down the river.

This is not going to end up with a single-payer government-run health care system; it will end up with the insurance system collapsing just like the financial system did in 2008, with another trillion dollars in bailouts of the insurance companies and bankruptcy of the public plan.

The problem is that the Senate won’t run with it. The government health insurance plan included in the House bill is unacceptable to a few Democratic moderates who hold the balance of power in the Senate.

If I had the money, I would run for office. Probably against our senators – Feingold and Kohl. I can guarantee you I wouldn’t vote for legislation like this.

It’s time politics was returned to the hands of the common folk. You know, I’m studying to be a teacher and have to present a lesson on To Kill a Mockingbird, in re-reading it, I realized that well into the 20th century, politicians did not “do” politics as a full time job in most cases. It was part-time work and they had other jobs outside the halls of government.

I think it’s time we returned to that system. I guarantee you if the Pelosi’s of the world had to make their actual living competing in the free market, they 1) wouldn’t have all this extra time to figure out how to control our lives and 2) wouldn’t be socialists.

Just a suggestion.

Healthcare reform is just a mask covering a fever-pitched move toward a totalitarian regime in spite of our Constitution. We cannot rely on the Supreme Court to get this matter right, even though perhaps they would be another effective last line of defense. More people have to mobilize against this tyranny! No, this isn’t a call to arms, but it is a call to feet. 1.7M people on 9/12 evidently didn’t lend enough feet to get the message across to our leaders. When the Pope got involved with Walesa in the 1980s and it became clear that 3+M people had prayed and sent help to Solidarnosc, only then did Russia, helmed by linguini-spined Gorbachev, start caving.

That 3+M number is roughly equal to 10% of Poland’s population. The most favorable estimates on the 9/12 tea party equal just 0.6% of our population. No wonder they didn’t listen!!! There’s a problem there, folks. Obama, Reid, and Pelosi may be a whole bunch of things, but weak in willingness to use (and abuse) their power is not one of them, I’m afraid… unlike Gorbachev.

We need an overwhelming voter revolution 51 weeks from now to cripple this Tyranny in the House and give us breathing room in the Senate. Nevada, you have to send Harry Reid a clear welcome home signal. Red Staters, you have to either compel your Democratic senators to change their thinking and switch sides, or dump them next November, even if they’ve been good to you. Their choosing to caucus with a philosophically bankrupt party is reason enough to vote against them.

To save ourselves until then, we need ever-increasing numbers descending upon DC. 1.7M won’t cut it. I know I am one to talk; I haven’t gone yet. Saturday was my tipping point, though. If another 9/12-like event gets organized, chances are I’ll be getting onto I-95 and taking a car full of friends with me. Ideally, it will be coordinated across the country like the last one, and all of our city centers will get overwhelmed. Here’s hoping that, across all events, 10M show up next time.

And it’s even more compounded than that. Say I have insurance on Jan 1. I lose my job on Jan 2. I get a new job on Jan 4. I went Jan 2 – 4 without health insurance. Guess what? I’m part of the 47 million with “NO HEALTH INSURANCE”. And so is my wife and so is my kids. Boom, 3 people withoutinsurance because we went 24 hours without it.

That’s how the number is counted. Anyone who goes for any period of time in a given year without insurance is deemed insuranceless. Doesn’t matter if it’s for a day or for 349.9 days of the year.

And my example is a sort of true story. I quit my job on a Friday, started a new one on Monday. I went without insurance for the weekend. And how many people do that every year? Or college students who go for a few weeks without insurance between the time they graduate and lose their parents’ coverage and start their first job with insurance?

When you break it down to the number of people who want and cannot afford insurance for more than 30 days, I don’t know if the number is even 10 million.

to fix a 13% problem

Let’s not give credence to the Democratic demagoguery by repeating it. The number of involuntarily uninsured Americans (key words: involuntarily and Americans) is far less than 13%, and the number shrinks even more when you remove short-term unemployed people (do we really need to spend over a trillion dollars to insure people who will be getting insurance of their own in the next 2-3 months?).

The only reason why there is a growing number of people without health insurance is the still-increasing unemployment rate. Perhaps, then, the focus should be on fixing that problem.

I doubt that even 2010 can change anything because all President Camacho’s gotta do is make the millions of illegal aliens citizens and then it’s easy street for him.
Hugo Chavez did the same thing before one of his eariler re-election campaigns.
