As an American Citizen and a lifetime tax payer, recently laid off from my job due to the weak economy, I’d like to weigh in on the upcoming vote on healthcare.

The reason I’m out of work now is because of government overregulation and mismanagement of housing, finance, business, and virtually every other aspect of our lives.

The more Government steps in, the worse things become. I frankly can’t imagine why Barney Frank isn’t under indictment for the Fannie Mae debacle, which effictively imploded the housing market, and started this mess. Another feather in the cap of Government regulation.

Then we have big Dick Murtha, playing fast and loose with taxpayer money, corrupt connections, and the Constitution.

I could go on and on. However I expect that, as the Washingtion insider that you are, this isn’t news.

Honestly, even though I’m looking for work, I don’t need any more government “help” or interference in my life with regard to healthcare or cap and trade.

Government can’t effectively manage Cash for Clunkers, Stimulus, Flu Shots, or anything else for that matter. The myth that we’ve “created or saved” jobs, when unemployment continues to rise, is a bald face lie. The only jobs created are government jobs, or short term construction and infrastructure projects.

The People no longer trust their government, for good reason.

During an 8% unemployment trend, we were told that, unless we immediately passed a Stimulus spending bill, we’ll see 10%. Guess what? Bill passes, we’re still screwed – it’s a 10!

If you actually want to do something good for the economy, and We The People, you’ll vote this healthcare bill, and cap and trade for that matter, to it’s death.

Start building your credibility by working on the issues that Americans actually care about: the economy, jobs, lower taxes, etc.

If you don’t, you obviously represent your own self interest, and not the will of the people who you represent.

There’s a reason that Congress has it’s lowest approval rating in over a decade. That alone should make you lay awake at night, like millions of Americans, who are worried about losing their jobs.

If you vote against the will of the people on this issue…

I’d recommend Valerian root and Melatonin to help you sleep at night, while you’re looking for other employment.
