Food Network celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Bobby Flay and Emeril Lagasse were in Washington last month for the special taping at the White House, confirms the First Lady’s office.

In the episode, the chefs are greeted by the First Lady and are given their Super Chef Challenge: “create a meal for America using the White House Kitchen Garden’s produce as their secret ingredients,” announced the Food Network in a statement.

The chefs will compete in teams: Flay and Comerford versus Batali and Lagasse. Armed with their secret White House Kitchen Garden ingredients, the four chefs then head to New York to ‘Kitchen Stadium’ for the actual battle.

For that matter, how big is this garden, anyway? And how much produce is growing there in November?

Does eating a lot of waffles and arugula really cure malevolent narcissism?

The contestants and the hosts lavished praise on the Obamas for setting a positive example on healthy eating.

Did they compliment the president on setting a positive example on smoking?

I’m just waiting for Obama to guest star on The Apprentice.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and Donald Trump will say, “You’re Fired!” early on in the season…like 2012.

We’ve got soldiers dodging bullets and IEDs in Afghanistan, waiting more than two months for a decision on reinforcements, while their CinC is inviting an effing reality TV show to the White House and doing smiley face for the camera.

I second this. It was bad enough to have POTUS appearing on late-night talk shows but hosting so-called reality TV in the WH is beyond outrageous. Is this an endeavor worthy of the office he holds? Is there anything he won’t do for the benefit of his own ego?

The answers, sadly, are no and no.

Someone needs to learn the meaning of the words dignity & respect.

People start worshiping crap.

Yeah, you think it’s all funny, our superstitious little myths about Moses going up the mountain.

Atheist friends, the joke is on you. The stories in the Hebrew Scriptures were specifically anti-myths. Their culture was drenched in superstition and the worship of crap like Ba’al. The entire point of the Hebrew experience was that they saw a personal God training them to give up phony idols and to grasp that the Creator of the universe was not a substance of any kind, was outside space and time. Do yourself a little Google on the story of Elijah. It’s depth and profundity would curl the toes of your typical secular new age clap trap artist.

Point: Obama is Ba’al. And those stories are every bit as relevant today as they were in ancient times.
