From the ABC news website, guess how they are reporting the election news? Would you believe ... by reposting a series of articles about last year's historic election? Seriously, they are giving last year's results more press than yesterday's!

For the President, the Omniscient one woke up to a large red pimple on the tip of his nose this morning, so large it has a name...New Jersey.

Karl Marx's and Saul Alinsky's legacy's were denigrated in a deep blue lock box under their most ardent practitioner's watch ever to hold the office.

Khrushchev got spanked with his own shoe.

I guess malignant coat tails travel around the body and inflame in the most inconvenient place.

Liberty University was responsible for one of the Republican pickups in the VA state assembly. The democrat was winning until the results from the polling place where the students voted were counted. That put the Repub. up by two hundred votes... Thanks ACLU for making sure that VA college students could vote locally!

I wanna hear more about local races across the US. It looks like we cleaned up in the NYC suburbs, took Miami mayor, lost Charlotte, won a MI state senate seat, aborted 7 Dems in VA assembly, etc. Any other notable results?

Apologetic California on November 4, 2009 at 1:03 PM

Republican Joan Orie Melvin won a seat on the PA Supreme Court, defeating a Dem incumbent. Republicans won all down the line in Bucks County, which used to be solid R but has been trending D lately, at least in national elections. Democrat Rep. (and Pelosi lapdog) Patrick Murphy went all out for Dem Chris Asplen for District Attorney and was trounced. My local GOP township supervisor was reelected handily despite a Dem smear campaign against her. Zero Obama coattails around here.

Wondering if Virginia is not being given enough credit there. Of the two wins yesterday I think VA's was the one that was telling Obama and Pelosi and Reid that they don't like Federal policies and interference. It's VA that the WH and company should be worried about because they were truly, truly passing judgement on the Democratic regime of the last year. I'm not from NJ, but am told that much of their anger was over local issues especially taxes--not sure I'm right but this is what I've heard. That pix says it all, so much red that one has to search for the teeny, weeny blue patches. Thanks VA--you told it just like I feel.

In the VA General Assembly it was a net gain of 6 GOP seats. (8 Dem incumbents lost, as did 2 GOP ones)

Huge victory in Wake County (Raleigh, NC). Local guy won for school board...school board now majority anti-busing. It's a huge issue here. The NAACP is not happy...their gal/pawn got trounced 75-24. They are threatening to sue...so you know it's a great win! :-D

Chapel Hill elected openly gay mayor. Fine. Except he's a lefty loon...and so Chapel Hill should be the same. It's a very odd place.
