And I said yesterday, Owens will have to be a pain in Pelosi’s a$$ if he wants to keep the seat.

Sure, I wanted Hoffman to win, but Owens will not take his 48% as a mandate to run off and support Pelosicare and Cap & Destroy… he may just add another D “no” vote against Pelosi… which will piss her off.

Owens can read the tea leaves. He’s not stupid enough to buy the spin that last night had nothing to do with health care and deficits. He’ll stay as far away from Pelosi as a Dem can… that is, if he wants to keep that seat.

Two very big wins for the Republicans.
Two very big failures for the Democrats.

It will give the moderate Democrats ammunition to vote against the far left, liberal bills being pushed by Obama, Pelosi and Reid.

If Democrats had won those two elections, the Democrats and the Media would be honking their horns long and loud that this was new confirmation that the liberal Democrat way is the only way. But they lost, big.

The vote for President in 2008 can split into two reasons:
a) Vote against Bush.
b) Vote to have a black President.
It would have taken a very bad Democratic candidate to could have won the 2008 election.

It was a rebuke for the man,his policies,his agenda,his czars and everything else he brings with him.After listening to THE reverend’s comments yesterday”land of the GREED,home of the SLAVE”,there is no doubt,they are each other,so it ,for me,is not just his policies.How people can say I don’t like his policies but I like him is beyond me.They go together,and cannot be separated.

Governors play a roll in redistricting. If a Democratic legislature tries to stack the deck to heavily in their favor, the governor can veto it. Having governors in those states could be worth 5 to 10 extra seats in the House after the next census.

I have an Appalachian accent myself, I grew up in Appalachia, and I’m *not* a redneck (although my whole family calls me Bubba so I can’t escape that…) I’m proud of who I am and where I came from, but I wish Southerners wouldn’t embrace the redneck label.
