Obama chose Biden before he was nominated, before the convention. At the time there was fear in the Obama camp that the superdelagates would revolt and give the nomination to Clinton. By nominating Biden Obama got enough of the party elders to cement the nomination. The pick of Biden also decreased the dangers of assassination and impeachment.
All that aside, it is ALWAYS an amateurish move to give greater responsibility to Joe Biden. It also demonstrates contempt for his country and his fellow citizens.

Fluff would have you believe that Obama was calm and measured after Palin was selected. The evidence suggests drastically otherwise.

That is the truth. They had to be sh!tting their pants when McCain picked Palin. Especially when the McCain / Palin ticket briefly pulled ahead in the polls. That’s when the democrats really cranked up their usual dirty politics.

But the real story should have been – that Obama was even less prepared than Palin to be President.

The Obama machine and his fawning media successfully managed to steer the debate away from that annoying little fact, and more to her being a “hearbeat away from the presidency.”

Now everyone knows that Biden got picked because his son, Beau, had Larry Sinclair arrested and locked up for 72hrs which prevented him from giving a speech about his drug use and sex in a limo with Obama. Judging from Biden\’s performance and what a headache he\’s been, I believe it.

Really? Details please. I haven’t heard about this.

Biden didn’t even measure up well in the VP debate. He “should” have won that one, hands-down.

He definitely failed to do that.

The fear in his campaign was palpable – and you can still sense it even today.Obama is no “wise sage” friends. This is a guy who doesn’t have the experience to be.I’ll tell you how Ogabe reacted to Sarah Palin. He reacted with sheer panic because she is more experienced in real life – and more experienced in executive management than he is. There is no denial in this. The Ogabe campaign immediately told the press they didn’t want any comparisons between Obama and Palin’s experience – instead, compare Biden’s experience to Palin’s. I could not agree more… The whole story in the Times is a total revisionist account of the campaign Oloser ran. I remember how panicked Obama and Axelrod were at Palin\’s selection. At first they wouldn\’t even acknowledge she was a govenor, Obama called her the Mayor of Wasilly (not his most shining moment) Obama tried to state he had more executive experience than her because he was \”running his campaign staff of 2000 employees\” the whole thing was really amazing. So to try to paint this false picture after, is transparent and only the Obamabots will buy into it. Whose decision was it to “SUSPEND HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN?”

How come Sarah Palin disqualified herself from political office by making gaffes to intellectual lightweights like Katie Couric and Charles Gibson, while the elephant in the room, John McCain made perhaps the worst campaign blunder in the last 25 years and he’s still in power?

Maybe, like Palin, Joe can see Russia from Katie’s on Union Street, or his ability to take advice from a Home Depot employee serves our military and foreign affairs better than the commanders in the field.

If it wasn’t for Obama’s outright assualt on private interprise and his attempt to turn this nation into a socialist “republic”, Biden’s gaffs would shine much more light on his lack of leadership skills.

I have to give the Dems credit. They recognized Sarah as a force to be reckoned with immediately, just as the Republicans did. They still know who the enemy is and it is Sarah. She is a force of nature and they don’t know what to do. Attacking her isn’t working. They can’t ignore her(well they could, but that wouldn’t work either) They are all flumoxed. It just makes me smile!

We dodged a major bullet with Palin – and got good ‘ole Joe Biden – whew!! Thank goodness….. the adults are in charge. They may hate America, but they are all “growed” up.
