They do not know if he possesses the obstinacy that guided Lincoln and Churchill, and which must guide all war presidents to some degree.

David, my boy, you could have also used George W. Bush as a fine example of tenacity and obstinacy. He had to fight everyone in DC as well as Iraq. Not to mention Cheney and Petraeus.

Bottom line, it is disgusting for any politician to bring photographers to a scene such as this. It screams, “ME! ME ME ME ME!”. Obama has to learn that it isn’t about HIM, but about honoring the soldier’s sacrafice. You don’t do that with a photo op.

Another grievous slam he made to our military was on inauguration night, when he couldn’t be bothered to make an appearance at the Medal of Honor Ball.

Tell me he cares about our military – and give me even one true example of why I should believe it.

There’s a reason all families but one refused to allow Obama and his cameras near their sons’ caskets at Dover; we know in our hearts what that reason is, and we owe those families the honor of a deep and humble bow.
