Reason TV’s Nanny of the Month
posted at 11:36 am on October 29, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
No, it’s not the cops who questioned a man for being naked in his own kitchen, although that case gets an honorable mention. This month’s Reason.tv Nanny of the Month award goes to a New York state legislator who crusaded to ban the practice of fish pedicures. Like most oddball fads these days, this started in Japan; fish attack dead skin on the feet of customers. Jeffrey Klein bravely attacked the toothless carp industry after New York was deluged by … er … no complaints at all about the procedure:
Let’s not get too hard on Nanny Klein. After all, what is not explicitly mandatory must be made illegal in this era of Hope and Change, right? Otherwise, the toothless carp will win!
Perhaps this may attract viewers to a more serious effort by Reason TV next week, honoring Ayn Rand and “Radicals for Capitalism”:
Coming November 2, Reason.tv will debut “Radicals for Capitalism: Celebrating the Enduring Power of Ayn Rand’s Ideas,” a new video series featuring segments on the novelist’s continuing presence in American culture and exlcusive interviews with Nathaniel Branden, Barbara Branden, Reason Foundation founder Robert W. Poole, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), and many others.
For more details and an archive of recent Reason-related stories on Rand, including reviews by Brian Doherty and Nick Gillespie of two new biographies of Rand, go to http://reason.org/rand
Looks like a worthy effort.

It’s not so amazing as they must have concluded that the DHS and FBI were either incompetent or on their side.

I don’t care about the personal lives of mass murderers. Who does, except groupies such as of Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, or Richard Ramirez. The blame lays completely at their feet, and Islam’s.
Dan Quayle had his moments. Such as when he answered his own rhetorical question:
“Who is responsible for crime? Criminals.”

I believe one of the dirtbags in the WTC bombing in 1993 actually went back to the truck rental company to get his deposit back.
For the very truck they loaded with explosives and blew up.
Let’s not underestimate their stupidity.

Gee, what’s the excuse this hour?
Pair of really great guys, these brothers. The idea of partying after killing people without any semblance of conscience is the most damning statement these two could make about themselves. In the meantime, the cold-hearted Left doesn’t care about motive or the kind of people they are. All that matters is protecting Obama, protecting Islam, and finding a way to keep this last kid out of all the trouble he deserves.

The constant flow of conflicting reports between Federal, Police, and DHS,and the Media is making question that anyone knows what they heck they are doing.
What’s up with this triple murder thing, How can Suspect1 not have been a primary suspect in this case. That was a religious moral message. I’m beginning to think he was sparred prosecution and mentored on purpose and I’m not one to be a conspiracy believer but nothing in this investigation is consistent or makes any sense at all. It seems to be made up as we go along.

i think that’s a large part of it. The older brother was already flagged, but he was able to travel to Russia and back, no problem. If it turns out that the older brother did in fact kill those three other kids in the unsolved murders, then he probably thinks he can get away with anything.
Weight of Glory on April 24, 2013 at 4:22 PM
From what I’ve seen, all the indications are that they really thought they were going to get away with it. They seem not to have grasped the ubiquity of surveillance cameras in this day and age.
That is exactly what happened. And not only that, he actually called the rental company ahead of time and told them that the truck had been stolen and that he would be coming back in to get his deposit. As a result, he walked right into the arms of the FBI. Most of these terrorists… well, let’s just say that NASA isn’t missing any rocket scientists.

muslim-style. These are people who celebrate a wedding by aimlessly shooting guns in the air (somehow “part of their culture” even though it’s with guns that they didn’t even have access to until very recently). In the land of the infidel this sort of islamic party easily moves from firing guns in the air to blowing up civilians. It’s “part of their culture” – in fact, it’s one of the foundations of islam. The pressure-cooker party, of course, is a more modern twist.

Forget surveillance cameras. They were at the finish line of the friggin Boston Marathon. Most of the good photos and videos weren’t from any surveillance cameras but from spectators and media coverage.
muslim attack plans are generally geared towards suicide operations because they’re usually too inept and incompetent to get away with anything else. They don’t have much flexibility in that planning, which pervades pretty much everything they do.
