Videos: Welcome to the ObamaCare line!

posted at 2:55 pm on October 28, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

Concerned Women for America has a series of humorous videos highlighting their objections to ObamaCare. They cleverly use one of the most annoying inventions of the modern age, the voice-mail menu system, to underscore their specific points as well as an unsubtle reminder of the bureaucracy to come after the government-forced overhaul of the American medical system. The first video actually has a human being pick up the phone, although the caller may not be terribly happy that she did in the end:

Next, CWA depicts what elder care will be like once the government-imposed overhaul fails to control costs and top-down rationing has to be implemented instead. It’s, ah, considerably shorter:

CWA has more of these videos at their site, and more to come as well.

The elderly one is great, and absolutely true…

Re: Second video
I wished they had omitted the stupid gender joke (“press 1 if you’re a man, 2 if you’re a woman, 3 if…”) but the ending is awesome.

May I recommend Money (That’s What I Want) as hold music for the government health care bureaucracy.

Meh…

Beyond clever. Perfect.

When you get your phone bill, you will find you were charged $25.00 for making the call.

These vidios should be on every TV channel.

Somewhere Obama is watching this first vid and wonders, yestheworldcan.gov, hmmmm, has a nice ring to it. Rahm, has anyone snatched this up yet?

The UN getting into health care has to set off alarms.

The ads are fantastic as they include an element of nothing but the truth, however, CWA are still racists who want you to die.

Please hold until we connect you with The World Health Organization.
If you have difficulty paying we can transfer you to The International Monetary Fund, if you have been abused in any way we will be happy to connect you to the United Nations Human Rights Council.

I currently experience this kind of treatment when I contact the EDD in CA.

I liked #1.

“….We’re gonna change the world.”

I must say, if I were ever going to donate to a political group again, Concerned Women would so far ahead there would be no second choice. I think I watched all of them (5?). Go, and do likewise. And buck them through to everyone you know.

#2 should be, “Have you considered rewriting your will and giving all your property to the DNC?” Press 2 for no and you’re disconnected.

The planned parenthood one was frightening

apollyonbob on October 28, 2009 at 3:35 PM

Funny, because it’s true…

Seven Percent Solution on October 28, 2009 at 3:38 PM

Yep, looks like the future. Canada has its physician lotteries and we’ll have thousands on-hold waiting for the next available operator.

Video #7 is great. I also love the hold music for many of the videos.

Great ads and right on target!

Having dealt with numerous government agencies in my job I can say without reservation that anyone in their right mind would never support government run healthcare and is well aware of what a disaster government run healthcare will be!

Anyone (AnninCA et al) that thinks government run healthcare is a good idea is either not in their right mind (e.g., crazy as a loon) is fooling themselves and/or is blinded by their liberal ideology and/or support of THE ONE…say where is AnninCA anyway?
