Maybe she’s not ready for 2012, but she’s young. She’s smart. Yes, I was disappointed when she left office but I can totally understand. Look, let’s be honest:
the gop has it pretty easy in 2012 assuming a bad economy
McCain lost IN & NC for bumbling anomaly reasons; they are not blue states, or purple states; they were tired of bush and had local races that kept rs home. so assume the 2012 r wins mccain states including IN & NC.
Because of the new census, electoral votes will be more favorable to red states
Therefore, to win, Palin (or any R) just has to win:
-Virginia
-Florida
-Colorado
-Ohio
if she lost one of those, it could be replaced by some mix of nevada, new mexico (palin has 55% approval with hispanics), new hampshire (if she plays up the libertarianness), the extra maine electoral vote, iowa.
heck, there could be one of those ‘indiana’ type things that swithces d to r in minnesota or wisconsin even (PA is long gone).
so basically you are asking: can she win FL, VA, OH, CO? considering the R has won those states twice of the last three elections?
i think she can.

….when the cost of attacks against you accrue and will have an impact on the state’s ability to function, will have a negative budgetary impact because money spent on your defense can be better spent on something else, when your family is being deliberately bankrupted as a political strategy. It would have been arrogant and self-centered of Palin to remain governor in the face of all three. She would have been like Obama in believing she is more important than the fiscal and other damage that is being done to the state and her family.
