Project Valour-IT returns!
posted at 8:47 am on October 26, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
One of the best traditions in the blogosphere returns today — the effort to raise money to provide adaptive-technology computers for seriously wounded veterans in order to help them reach their full potential. Project Valour-IT, a campaign by the tremendous group Soldiers Angels, gives bloggers an opportunity to have fun and compete on behalf of the various service branches. I’ve been on Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force teams in the past, and all of them had one thing in common — they didn’t win. This year I’ve rejoined the Air Force team. Will the Ed Jinx continue?
But it doesn’t matter which teams gets the bragging rights (I say to myself every year); what matters is how we all pull together to help those who lost so much in defending our nation. I’ll have the widget in all of my show posts this week, and will give regular updates on the standings as we go. Please contribute what you can, through the Air Force widget here at Hot Air or in support of your favorite service branch at the Project Valour-IT home page.

What a great opportunity for liberals to prove that they really care about the troops too!
Seriously though, great charity and opportunity to give back.

Heh… Navy has been gearing up for this effort for the past several months. We intend to not only do our share, and meet our goals, but beat out the other services too.. :)
But seriously, it’s a wonderful effort, and regardless of which service generates the most donations, it’s all for an incredibly worthwhile cause.
I’m a life member of the Disabled American veterans, and these programs and services, generated and offered by citizens mean far more to veterans than some government-run or initiated program. It tells them that folks remember them, and care about them, and that is always an incredible boost to morale.
Soldier’s Angels rocks!
respects.

Hehe, I just put down $1000 for Air Force and it’s now beating the Navy at the time I’m writing this. Now it’s Team Navy’s turn to turn the table around! :)
Many thanks to Soldier’s Angels for this great effort!

As a Former Marine Mom and current
As a former Marine Mom and current USAF Mom whose kiddo will be deployed to the ME shortly, I know that the majority of our guys are USMC or USA…doesn’t mean that the Air-pukes or Froggies should be dissed. C’mon folks, let’s man-up for the AF.
Love,
