I have thought about leaving a mop at the fence of the WH with the following:
An average Americans attempt of ideas to pick up a mop and help clean up the mess..
1. Honestly investigate who is responsible for the Sub Prime mess and prosecute (regardless of party affiliation). While we are at it, make it a priority to get all corruption out of Washington, or at lease minimize it.
2. Do a line by line evaluation of the Federal budget. Remove anything that is not absolutely vital to the everyday workings of the nation: Defense (domestic & international), Public schools (however, please start review of waste here), Public transportion and necessary upkeep of public facilities (this does not include new digs, new computers, or any other items that can be put on hold for a while).
3. Stop any healthcare legislation until Medicare and Medicaid are solvent or phased out.
4. Stop any cap and trade legislation. The science is not there and the administration is ignoring its promise to “bring science back to support decisions”.
5. Stop spending for government facilities for anything not absolutely necessary (ie. Flowers, Christmas decorations, new china, weekly music socials, extravagant state dinners for the WH. I can only imagine how much is spent on this and it kind of made me angry to think about the floral costs for the WH during a recession when I did a tour and saw all the flowers. For the record, this was while Bush was the resident and I was just as mad then as I am now. I know this can help the economy, but we need to get a handle on the economy too.)
6. Give our troops what they need to be successful in Iraq and Afghanistan once and for all. Stop trying to please everyone and get the job done!
If I would not get arrested by the FBI or SS, I would leave, or even mail a mop to the WH and Congress so I could help with the clean up. I don’t work, I have time. I am happy to help!
