You say to yourself, there are two options to increase my support: go after Palin’s conservative grassroots support which is apparently rock-solid or try to gradually bleed away the more squishy, moderate, elitist, establishment, fiscally conservative support that is now going to Romney Pawlenty and the fair tax support that is going to Huckabee.

Squishes are always easily led, lied to and manipulated. Newt sees Romney, Pawlenty and Huckabee supporters and sees easy marks. Pawlenty let that Al Franken train wreck happen in his own state. McCain would have put him on the ticket, except he would have lost. Romney and Huckabee are also-rans. Newt sees a way to split their votes and game the caucuses. Pawlenty and Huckabee are populists. Romney is a Rockefeller Republican. Sarah Palin can beat every single one of these clowns, and they will gang up on her. They have been already; these were the “anonymous” quotes.

Just as he tanks, I’d love for the “birther” stuff to be found real, and Obama, rather than be thrown in jail for treason, just thrown out of the country. That would be delicious!

Two party officials tell POLITICO that the NRCC will continue to air TV ads propping up Scozzafava in the days leading up to the Nov. 3 contest and plans to keep up a near relentless barrage of press releases slamming Hoffman. Wow, the GOP is attacking the conservatives.

Palin’s political instinct is phenomenal. When this train wreck of a presidency finally results in a smoking ruin she is going to be the one who has unreservedly stood for core American values and without hesitation supported those candidates who share those principals. And she has been effective in keeping those values front and center regardless of the personal cost to her and her family.

When all is said and done, honesty, integrity, and commitment are going to define the next president. Sarah Palin has these qualities to the degree unseen in American politics for decades. She will certainly be the next president.

This is an interesting situation and will make a statement going forth. Like it or not, right now the best way to gauge the contest is with dollars. I would love to see what all these endorsements have done for Hoffman’s bottom line.
