Serious, respectable news outlet wonders: Is Cheney mentally unbalanced?
posted at 6:04 pm on October 22, 2009 by Allahpundit
Remember, the knock on Fox is that it’s not just their opinion shows, like Beck and Hannity, that tilt one way. It’s their daytime “hard news” programming too (including … Shep?). Bear that in mind as you watch this and mull the exit question I put to you earlier.
On a related note, while Karl Rove isn’t the first, fiftieth, or five-thousandth guy I want giving lectures about why it’s a bad idea to politicize war, he raises a fair point in today’s op-ed: Why is Axelrod sitting in on war cabinet meetings?

“What is he after, assuming that he is of a rational mind”…..WHAT? Why would you assume otherwise, Shuster you effin dimwit?
Here it comes again, another attempt to malign Cheney while completely ignoring what he has to say.

Everything else in the Obama administration has been politicized, including so-called “justice” in the U.S. Just take a look at some of the crap that’s been coming out of Holder’s DOJ. Anyone see the joke of a “discussion” about Cheney and Afghanistan that Wolfman just had on al-CNN?
Their “military expert” was General Paul Eaton. Of course,, Wolfman never told his gullible viewers that this guy was an advisor to Hillary’s campaign, and then did pro-O’bama campaign appearances, something even wiki confirms.
And of course the “panel” said it was “inappropriate” for a former VP to criticize the incumbent. When Wolfie, in a rare moment of sanity, mentioned former VP Algore repeatedly criticizing Bush, they all said what Gore did was “good” but what Cheney did was “bad”.
Laughed so hard I almost choked on my haggis.
Del Dolemonte on October 22, 2009 at 6:25 PM
They put a class A honest to God narcissist in the White House and they are worried about the mental health of a former VP. Morons.

What a lying weasel. I would like him to come up with one of those Republicans “across the political spectrum” that would say that Cheney must be ill or crazy. Who was he talking about ? Joe Scarborough? Perhaps it was David Brooks or Kathleen Parker.
He can’t name names because he just made it up. There isn’t a Republican worth his salt that would choose Barack Obama’s strategies over Dick Cheney’s to fight a war on terror.
Shuster lies.

Reading the screen: Cheney ignored Afghanistan for 7 years.
So, in bizarro world, “ignored” means supported military action that toppled the Taliban from power, bombed Al Qaeda training camps, and killed terrorists?
Weird.

Libs seem to want to profile why conservatives, using Cheney as some kind of touchstone, are anti-Obama. OK, fine. But first they should profile why they are somehow superior. Level playing field, right?
Libs have shown themselves to be hypocrites, taking their assault against Palin for a start when for years they wanted some imaginary ‘glass ceiling’ broken.
Libs want blacks represented on the SCOTUS, but what did they do against Justice Thomas?
Libs demand free speech but cook up lies to cause personal and financial harm to a Citizen named Rush Limbaugh, for his opinions.
Libs have attacked Christian religion for decades, but pay homage to Reverends Jackson and Sharpton.
Libs demand a level playing field, yet they willfully skew polls, while others in the media ignore stories that don’t ‘fit’ the liberal point of view.
Libs demand a free press, yet declare a proven source of news to somehow be illegitimate.
Libs have burned down buildings at colleges, claiming ‘free speech’, yet called traitorous the peaceful gatherings of average Citizens who protest Federal policies and propositions.
Libs demand ‘equal rights’ for gays, yet assail Mary Cheney as some kind of outcast or point of shame even among themselves because the dad who loves her with all his heart is a staunch conservative.
Need I go on?
If anyone needs a psych eval, it’s those among the Left.
They’re really nuts.
Liam on October 22, 2009 at 7:29 PM
Am I the only one who thinks that claiming someone politicized a war is a pretty serious charge and should backed up if it is going to said?
terryannonline on October 22, 2009 at 7:30 PM
He’s just continuing his insistence that he needs to join in on bashing Bush officials in the name of “fairness” to Obama. For some reason, criticism of the filthy lying coward in the White House has to come with a steaming bowl of Bush hate to be “fair.”
As to Rove and the politicization of war, it depends on what is meant. Poltics are involved in any war because you need the public onboard with the idea that a war is necessary. Where it crosses the line, however, is when political consideration trumps strategy. That’s where we are now in Afghanistan. This was the liberals’ just war (as compared to GWB’s “illegal war” in Iraq). Yet, when a change in strategy is needed and the field commander hired by the filthy lying coward in the White House asks for more troops…… the bastard dithers because his is putting his poll numbers ahead of everything else. With American soldiers dying it is reprehensible. But by all means let’s try to be “fair” here.
