The footage of course didn’t allow you to see his race:

The newsrooms of America are populated almost entirely with people that have no interest in reporting. They’re all journalists. They went to school to “change the world”. You don’t change the world by sticking to on-the-ground information and inverted pyramids. In fact, your job is not to inform the overfed, undereducated swine that populate the country. Your job is to enlighten them to larger truths. The bottom line will be met by managing their fears, keeping them at the daily trough of crisis and indecision. Like a good ad man, you treat them like the mammals they are and cash in on their limbic system’s overwhelming need to be led, with a bone of self-importance thrown every now and again to the good sheep.
Get them lined up, then lead them.
It’s only by providence that we still have some real newspapermen and reporters left. Notice how they stick out like a sore thumb, and no less an annoyance to their peers. The truth will out, always does, but not because of “journalism” or “journalistic ethics” and other such rot. Journalists are self-important propagandists, shuffling facts to suit their truths. Give me a hard-nosed, cynical newspaperman or beat reporter any day. That’s a job for a sharp pen, a sharp mind and a distrust of obfuscating bromides.
