Supporting the Baucus bill makes perfect sense to me because, if you are going to cover people with pre-existing conditions, you need to incentivize them to have insurance before those conditions arise and you need to cover everyone in order to economically support "community" rates for the insurance. You can't give people incentives to only buy coverage when they need coverage or you can't allow people who have pre-existing conditions to purchase insurance.

<blockquote>But just because I believe in the Baucus bill and, if it becomes law, I want to see it enforced, doesn’t make me a zombie. Do you listen to Rush or Fox News all the time? If you do, I may consider you to be a zombie.

Jimbo3 on October 20, 2009 at 9:29 AM</blockquote>

No, I don't listen to Rush or Fox News all the time. I supplement my fix with CNN and ABC and others. It behooves me to stay informed and research regardless of who "speaks" it. Just because Fox or Rush say it, don't make it so, although more often than not the information is accurate and not colored by divisive hate and leftist superiority, nor name calling!

Supporting the Baucus bill doesn't make sense to me. I doubt it makes sense to those who authored it. But, WHY would you want something passed that is not going to cover all the ones who are currently uncovered - will force many to have to rethink staying on their employer's plan, due to increased premiums, probable taxation to the insurance company because it's probably going to be considered a "cadillac" plan causing employee premiums to rise - increased taxes to the middle class effective, oh now, for something not implemented for 2 more years - medical practitioners who don't want this type of plan - discouragement of future doctors and nurses - reducing services to medicare and medicaid - all the while politicians opting out because they have a "good plan" (paid for by us already) - having your choices and free will taken away from you? To top it off, you're going to go tattle like a sissy on someone else! We need affordable healthcare and there needs to be reforms, but this isn't it. Modify medicaid, make it available for those who can't/won't/don't have health insurance if the govt feels this overwhelming need to mandate insurance. DO NOT FORCE people to participate. This isn't about health care anyway, it's all about power and control. There's been discussion of how this craptastic bill can be rammed down our throats without any help from the conservative/Republican segment. Is that what you want? For anyone's ideology to be passed with trickery and a big FU to the populace? I've not liked that kind of chicanery in the past and I like it even less now.

But you go ahead and support it. Support it while you're driving your govt mandated car, eating what you're told because certain foods are not healthy (because we, the govt say so) and getting your news from White House Media, all while freezing during the winter months (you know, because of that pesky global warming) when you can't afford the utilities because the benevolent one is going to see to it that prices skyrocket and allowing you to live on an ever decreasing paycheck, if you are fortunate to have a job! Seems like a win-win situation to me.

No, it makes you naive and ignorant.

If you seriously think that we're going to have bureaucrats chasing around people who don't buy health insurance, you're delusional.

The federal government barely functions now. Look at all of the tax cheats in the Obama administration and the IRS has been functioning for decades.

You really think some start up organization Obama puts together is going to know its ass from a hole in the ground?

It's really sweet the faith liberals have in the government. Easy to tell that none of you have ever worked for the government, otherwise, you would realize the stark limitations of what they can do and that it costs twice as much as you can ever possibly imagine, to get anything at all done.

Paying the fine is enforcement. I have no idea who you would be "turning in" or why.

I think everyone should opt to pay the fine. That would be the quickest way to collapse the entire system and throw the communist democrats out for good.

What a good little kool-aid drinker you are. Until this administration makes it otherwise, this is a free nation protected by the Constitution. I do not have to and will not participate in this debacle until it becomes the only choice I have (which it will be one day if it passes) and then I’m not so sure. As it stands right now, the fines are less than typical monthly premiums so, I’ll pay the fine. In later posts you state that it will be the law and you pretty much would be obligated to “turn in your neighbor” Well, there will one day be a “law” that you’re not going to agree with or tramples your constitutional rights and you will feel compelled to decline to participate – you should be prepared to be “turned in” Apparently you have no problem with being told what car to drive, what food to eat, to be bankrupted by crap and trade, to fork over yet more of whatever salary you earn, to continue to support illegal aliens, for your children to be brainwashed by whatever the “topic du jour” is – for them to sing the praises of a person who is hell bent on destroying this country, to be told what media outlet to listen to or watch or read (and if they have their way, will eliminate eventually this forum and hundreds more like it) to allow the govt to takeover private enterprise and dictate what salary you can earn, the list is long. <strong>Are you ready to become a zombie? I’m not and never will be.</strong>

--Neither am I and I never will be (except at Halloween parties). I don't read Daily Kos, or any of the left wing stuff. I do read mostly conservative blogs because they tend to catch stories the main stream news and blogs miss.
<blockquote>That’s why this bill is being rushed so the public won’t have a chance to understand how this is really going to end. I have a feeling when the public starts to see how much they are being taxed to pay for the Health Scam, they will rebel in the 2010 elections.

Let's remember this is a slowed-down version of the process. The filthy lying coward tried to get this into law before the August recess with just three weeks discussion. Now, the public is much more informed on the issues and it is going to be harder to ram this through- though I think the rat bastard traitor will ultimately tell the public to go screw themselves and do just that on a strictly partisan vote without any real debate in Congress.

<blockquote>I am constantly amazed at the number of morons still in deep denial about the level of radical socialism out of this administration and the motives behind it.

<blockquote>was just flipping through the channels, joe and mika and touting another poll this am showing close to 57% support for obamacare and 57% approval of dear leader….

I was watching Joe and Mika and wasn't surprised that they are touting the poll - 57% support the public option. Wonder who ABC called for the poll....the liberal Congress and the White House?

<blockquote>–I also live in the Dallas area. If ObamaCare passes and I find out about you, I WILL report you to the authorities and will enjoy doing so.

What a good little kool-aid drinker you are. Until this administration makes it otherwise, this is a free nation protected by the Constitution. I do not have to and will not participate in this debacle until it becomes the only choice I have (which it will be one day if it passes) and then I'm not so sure. As it stands right now, the fines are less than typical monthly premiums so, I'll pay the fine. In later posts you state that it will be the law and you pretty much would be obligated to "turn in your neighbor" Well, there will one day be a "law" that you're not going to agree with or tramples your constitutional rights and you will feel compelled to decline to participate - you should be prepared to be "turned in" Apparently you have no problem with being told what car to drive, what food to eat, to be bankrupted by crap and trade, to fork over yet more of whatever salary you earn, to continue to support illegal aliens, for your children to be brainwashed by whatever the "topic du jour" is - for them to sing the praises of a person who is hell bent on destroying this country, to be told what media outlet to listen to or watch or read (and if they have their way, will eliminate eventually this forum and hundreds more like it) to allow the govt to takeover private enterprise and dictate what salary you can earn, the list is long. Are you ready to become a zombie? I'm not and never will be.

<blockquote>Oh, come on. I don’t think Obama is that radical. One of, if not the, most liberal presidents we’ve ever had? Yes. But then again I know douchebag when I see it. He’s said some douchebag things, but that doesn’t make him a douchebag extraordanaire. :)

I agree. I do think a lot of the anger is misplaced. It’s because of the economy.

It just is really, really rough right now.

It's really, really rough right now? Seriously? Ya think? It's going to get rougher as this administration continues to run amok. Misplaced Anger? I'm angry because the Constitution is a "flawed document"? I'm angry because the left thinks I'm too stupid to come in out of the rain? I'm too ignorant to understand the intricacies of running a country? I should be excited that criminals and avowed radicals and communists run my country? I'm racist and a right wing extremist? I should just sit down and shut up because the worlds savior "won"? (oh yeah, I forgot, he won a Nobel because he "intends" to do whatever) I should be grateful that the government wants to control every aspect of my life down to what I'll be able to watch, read or hear? How patronizing you are. You just go ahead and sit back, let it happen, I'm sure that at some point you're going to wake up and think "OMG" but by then you'll have no freedom what so ever. Tough luck for you. I'm going to continue to fight and be angry against all of this along with millions of others and you can reap the benefits without breaking your manicured nails.

All I know is KBH is now back tracking on when she is going to vacate her office. Typical worthless RINO.

I wouldn't order my tickets for her inaugural ball just yet!
