New ad: Why is the media afraid of Liz Cheney?

The latest from Keep America Safe. You know, not every expression of political antipathy is motivated by anxiety. Sometimes dislike is just dislike.
But sometimes there really is a little fear mixed in.
Actually, as anyone who has met Ms. Cheney knows, she is a knowledgeable and serious advocate of a tough foreign policy that she believes needs to be articulated and fought for. One can disagree with her, but to date, the critics have not done this.
You can’t win with liberal supporters of a weak dovish foreign policy, especially if you are a woman. We’re familiar with their attacks on Sarah Palin, whom they accuse of being a know-nothing, uneducated, unprepared, right-wing partisan. Liz Cheney obviously knows her stuff, is prepared and educated, and certainly does not need to be brought up to speed. She has five children, still manages to function as a serious spokesman for a new foreign policy, and is good looking and charming.
Of course, their real fear is that before long, Liz Cheney will run for a major national office. What could be worse–an attractive, articulate female conservative with knowledge and guts, running for office. For the Dowds and Cottles of the world, this woman must be brought down.
The left’s spin, obviously, is that the name “Cheney” will be enough to discredit her positions on foreign policy. Really? Papa Bear seemed to do okay when he went head to head with The One over Gitmo and enhanced interrogation earlier this year. As for the ad itself, it’s fine although it does nothing to dispel the impression that the group will be mainly a vehicle for LC herself. Which might be for the best: Foreign policy is all about fear of enemy threats so ads on the subject are almost destined to be cartoonish and melodramatic. Would you rather watch La Liz chat to the camera or some hamfisted remake of the “Daisy” ad with da-da-dum music?

I know I’m an old fart, from the keep them in the kitchen, barefoot & pregnant branch of conservatives, and no one will ever convince me a young child isn’t better off home with mom, or mom is there when they get home from school. But we’re not going back to those good old days, so if women are out there, in politics like men, why do conservatives keep saying these women would be great as the VP. If they are that great, and I’d have to say these three have more spine and testosterone than any Lindsey Graham RINO or ANY Dem male, then why aren’t they good enough to be President?

Actually, it is a grammatical error; a confusion of a contraction of a pronoun and verb with a possessive i.e. who’s v. whose.
But if one were to parse intentions instead, I think that a deconstruction of simplesimon would result in an array consisting of an effectual, scrawny beta-boy incapable of earning respect outside of the walls of his mother’s basement, a really spiffy Apple laptop purchased on a payment plan (in arrears), and a dirty pile of t-shirts with ‘witty’ aphorisms printed on them. All of which would fit into a box a wheat-grass juicer might come in.

Can I offer suggestion against those ‘pretend’ libs here, those who seek attention by doing no more than mocking?
Maybe don’t respond directly, if there’s a cause to respond. Maybe make a general statement of your view? There is a handful of libs here who will have a genuine debate with us, and that’s worth the time. Mockers seek only to win attention, and destroy where they can. They’re not worth addressing directly.
We want such people gone, and the best way I can think of is to do that is to freeze them out by not acknowledging them directly. If one of us is cheesed off by a comment, maybe make a general response without directly quoting the source. No attention, no gain for such people.
Then they’ll go away at long last.
Just an idea or two.

On the male side, it’s a shorter list: Rush, Levin, Hannity, Dad Cheney, Jindahl, and a couple of Senators and Representatives.
Let’s not forget the female squishes who go with McCain, Grahmnesty, et al. You’ve got Snow, Collins, Noonan, Parker.

But…the trolls are so boring! Entertaining them is a waste of our energy, first for the fact we can never make headway. Every time we indulge them, they make the headway. Not us.
We’re in a powerful position here, to have discussions with genuine liberals who wish to exchange ideas. Trolls only distract us, their aim not to try changing our minds to their side but instead to winn attention by pissing us off.
We have here people with Degrees. We have here fighter pilots, businesspeople, and average Americans like I am. Fighting a troll isn’t worth it, to me. Trolls are already fallen by the wayside, and they seek to drag people down including liberals.
To get rid of such, I offered an idea. In my estimation, trolls here cannot be allowed to continue among reasonable Citizens.
