I just came up with my own idea for a hit reality show. It’s called “Float or Die!”. The premise is each week we make a stupid looking UFO balloon and put Richard Heene inside it and let it loose. Then we track it with a helicopter until it crash lands. After the crash landing we look inside to see what color Heene’s skin is. If it’s blue that means he died and the show is canceled. If it’s pink, we get to make another UFO balloon and launch Richard again next week.

You are on the right track. But use the nearest swimming pool and a vest full of lead weight. It would only last one episode but the ratings would be through the roof.

I have no idea, but I do think the press would happily crucify these people just to make up for the fact that they ended up looking kind of stupid when this thing was done.

We’ve been waiting for this exact scenario for 9 months. It may take them awhile.

When Heene rented a home from Carrie Cavalier in Burbank a few years ago, he wasn’t exactly the picture of responsibility.

Heene lived in Burbank for a few years, trying to live the Hollywood dream. He met Cavalier before she rented him her home, and she took headshots for him, so he could pursue an acting career that never got off the ground.
“So, of course, you know, I let him rent it,” she said. “And he was supposed to pay me money and the rent was late.”

Things went sour soon after she rented the house. By the time he skipped town in 2007, moving the family to Colorado, Heene owed Cavalier $6,000, she said.

“He was supposed to pay me security and last month’s rent, and then I said, why don’t you fix my roof,” she said.

He claimed he fixed the roof, Cavalier said — but it still leaked.

When Heene left, she took pictures of the damage he left behind. And she’s still waiting for her rent money.

It makes me furious that I paid attention to that story with my heart in my throat hoping that his family was going to be ok.

My wife prayed for them.

Hey dont take it so hard. Look at it this way your prayers worked the kid is safe.

Watching the dad fumble around re-asking the question for WB makes me fairly certain that the dad’s a dirtbag who was obviously caught in the act.

I don’t know. He could be, but his behavior is also consistent with someone who hears his kid saying something that he knows will be misinterpreted.

Whether I was guilty or innocent, either way I’m pretty sure I’d freak out in that situation, especially if it was on live national tv.

I remember when my little brother was 5 years old, he and his friend made a number of home-made Jaws sequels using a bathtub, toy sharks, and red food coloring.

I guess movies were cheaper to make back then.

Excellent idea, but we strap a gag ball and straight jacket on him.

And maybe the family is hoping that backers of a reality show about them would pay the gigantic bill for this fiasco that I hope will land on the couple very soon.
