Fourth-grader to Obama: Why do people hate you?

This makes twice now in two months that a child’s stood up during a Q&A with The One to ask why people are being so mean to him or his policies. The last time it happened, the questioner’s mother turned out to be a state organizer for his campaign, but it’s foolish to assume that these kids are all plants. Since the beginning of the summer, you’ve had the DNC describing ObamaCare protesters as “angry mobs,” the Senate majority leader calling them “evil-mongers,” and a variety of lesser Democrats referring to them as racists and even terrorists, and of course the media’s happy to help them carry the message forward. Pound away at a narrative that diligently and it’s bound to penetrate the consciousness of a few news-watching young kids. In fact, it’d be fascinating for comparison purposes to know how many times Bush was asked a question like this. There was plenty of hate directed at him too, but that was the “good” kind of hate so kids might not have processed it as something worth fretting about. Any Lexis-Nexis users want to query this one and see?

Hate him? How does anyone respect an entire administration thats trying to cripple freedom. Almost all of the members of this administration have some bizzar backstory. Slightly off-topic, Tammy Bruce played an audio clip of Teh One introducing Bobby Jindal at one of these events today and when he did the crowd booed loudly. Tammy said it was b/c Jindal is not as popular as he appears and is just another inside the beltway elite. My theory is that it was b/c the crowd was stacked w/ Obamaites who obviously don’t like Jindal anyway. Exit question, anyone know anything about this or see the video and what is your theory?

Who said anything about hating the kid? If anything, most of the commenters are standing up for the kid. You know what’s hateful to kids? The cynical K-street ad agencies who exploit them as cheap props. That would be Obama, in this case.

I told my mother and a freind of mine a while back -I don’t hate Obama. I don’t particularly like him or his wife either, but I don’t hate them. I do hate his policies, which are basically Redistribution, Racialism, and making government “cool” again -thus making it easier for him and his ilk to get government evermore entwined in everyone’s life, day in and day out.
But there is one group of people that I collectively do hate, and that is the state-controlled media types who put him up on a pedestal and basically touted him as the best thing since sliced bread, electricity, the wheel, fire, opposable thumbs and any other fundamentally great thing you can think of.
Instead of doing their jobs, which is fully vetting the guy and examining his past, his record, and his likely initiatives and policies, they instead acted as an arm of his campaign. I’ll never forgive them for this, and I’ll hate them forever……

Many of those who hate the President are angry, marginalized white people. As angry, marginalized whites they can’t accept that their way of life is going away and that they are no longer needed in society. Many of their jobs are either in China or done by Mexicans. They see foreigners get ahead and a black guy named Hussein become president. They know that it’s all downhill from here and there wasn’t much uphill to begin with.

It’s a shame that Obama didn’t call on some senior citizen to answer the little boy; my parents/grandparents are livid that Obama will make a huge cut in medicare. Oh, and a 4th grader can’t possibly understand that, in the worst recession since the 1930′s, Obama’s Treasury Sec, Geithner, has failed to fill staff possitions, after nearly 9 months on the job.
Would the little 4th grader understand that Obama, who promised (over and over) Open & Transparency, yet has his own white house staffers (Rham) meeting behind closed doors to decide the healthcare bill which will effect everyone in this nation?

Beats the heck out of me. By fourth grade, this child would know that in 1961 Obama was born in a log cabin in Hawaii the only child of escaped slaves who reached Oahu by the Underground Railroad. They were so poor they could only afford a Certificate of Live birth and not the more expensive birth certificates that all the other children got. From the beginning his parents knew that little Barry was a prodigy- his fingerpainting inspired Ghandi to start passive resistance (quite a feat since Ghandi was dead by this point) which in turn inspired MLK meaning that Obama was responsible for the Civil Rights movement. After learning about all sorts of cultures and religions not found in America, Obama made his way to the Ivy League where he excelled in being black. Then on to Chicago where he organized neighborhoods, blanked out every Sunday in church, and otherwise set himself up for a career in politics by emphasizing his blackness. When he was inagurated on 1/20/09 the world rejoiced and ushered in unprecedented peace and prosperity…..
What’s to hate about any of that. Clearly it is the parents fault because no “schoo” would ever teach hate of our beloved leader.
