Chris Matthews apologizes-I believe him, actually

Apparently your definition of apologizing is a lot different than mine. I must have missed any words like “I’m sorry,, blah, blah, blah.” All I heard was “While I was extremely clever to find such an appropriate bash for a guy with an over inflated ego I should have just left it to you cool people to get my drift.”

Guess Chrissy is just doing his best to emulate his Beloved The One.

Something in the atmosphere of the room softly changes while we are preoccupied with the noise, and suddenly some one isn’t going to make out of the room alive that day.

More like he seems as disassociated with the reality of 2009 as Snowe.

The real conservatives are seething mad and energized. Allah is one of those so called conservatives who don’t get it. He dismisses real trends and focuses in the folks that trash Palin or anything that doesn’t fit his agenda. There is a revolution in the offing and he is content on dithering over minor issues.

Note the slight smirk during the “apology” and only when he mentions that Rush was dropped from consideration by the NFL did he take on a more serious expression. What a douche!

EXACTLY! He “apologized” then immediately segued gleefully into reporting bad news for Rush.

This is like me apologizing to my girlfriend for suggesting that she looks like she’s gaining weight, then saying “By the way your mother said I’m a much better cook than you.”

It strains credulity that Matthews extended, elaborate, strained, and vivid riffing on a Bond villain demise for Rush was an innocent slip of the tongue. Who the hell has a minute-plus second slip of the tongue? His brain must move really slow if that’s the case.

If a right-leaning speaker (you can’t call CM a journalist, reporter, correspondent, etc.) had made such a vile and vicious comment, he or she would have been excoriated and hounded in every media venue, day and night, as a “talking head terrorist” until they were driven into retirement.
