Quotes of the day

“Oh, go ahead, Limbaugh lickers, post your comments about how people have made up quotes or taken them out of context or call everyone a racist. Fire away, you brave anonymous message board flamers. That’s what you do.
(This is said without malice and is my opinion: I believe almost any quote attributed to Limbaugh when it comes to race because he’s said any number of ugly and hateful things. Just my opinion and belief.)…
It’s not about Limbaugh’s politics, it’s about Limbaugh himself. He’s a bad person. That’s it. End of story.”

“People do not want a bigot as an owner. He’s a racist. He’s a bigot. He’s shown it for years. He’s made his career in a large way off marginalizing black culture and African-Americans, and now he wants to buy into an industry where 70% of the talent, the work-force is African-American and make money off of it? He doesn’t get to do that.”

My irony needle just pegged so hard that it wrapped around the stop.

Unless I heard Rush’s voice saying some of these quotes, I don’t believe they are true. If Rush did say some of these things, I know Rush would try explaning his position rather than just saying they are completely false. Take them to court Rush!
deidre on October 15, 2009 at 8:14 AM
I will say again, OBVIOUSLY, they don’t know how good of friends he is with Tony Dungy. Dude, Dungy was on his program promoting his book! Obviously, Rush is a racist!!
deidre on October 15, 2009 at 8:15 AM
I didn’t realize that there were so many black racists in the NFL. I know they are a bunch of dumb jocks but I won’t be contributing to their paychecks anymore. I will stick to watching college football until they ruin that level too.
Sporty1946 on October 15, 2009 at 8:24 AM
for those of you who worry about all the sites turning left, remember that there is a white house group just there to check right wing blogs and no doubt to enter their pithy statements. I’m just sayin’….
Why is it ok for Dan Rooney (owner of the Steelers) to come out and openly endorse Obama in Pgh., then be rewarded with an ambassadorship to Ireland? Is that not politics?? I don’t get it??say what?
congma on October 15, 2009 at 8:29 AM
Bill Bennett just made a great point, why does Mr. Obermann get to be a commentator for the NFL, his views are equally polarizing.

This just shows the further decline of what was once an honorable profession…journalism. Now anyone and everyone gets to go online or in front of a camera and say whatever they want to, whether it is factual or not. No matter the victims reputation, no matter the consequences of their accusations. They don’t even need credentials to be given the floor. Who are these people anyway, and why are these people given any credibility? Suddenly they’re experts on Limbaugh? Really?
scalleywag on October 15, 2009 at 8:40 AM
it appears that they are of the same mindset so no worries about him being a part of the team so to speak
cmsinaz on October 15, 2009 at 8:41 AM
A lot of his rants are misogynist, too. Why does he get a pass? Oh yea…its MSNBC, that’s why.
scalleywag on October 15, 2009 at 8:44 AM
I wish I hadn’t looked at this thread- my blood pressure just shot up in double digits. All I’m hearing and seeing is a bunch of bitter, jealous, wanna-be’s intent on justifying their political positions. I sincerely hope Rush takes them to court and makes their lives utterly miserable. He’s got the money to do it- lets see how they enjoy being dragged through the mud.
anniekc on October 15, 2009 at 8:49 AM
Maybe someone needs to look into these people’s backgrounds and see if they’ve ever uttered a derogatory remark.
scalleywag on October 15, 2009 at 8:52 AM
All animals are equal. Some animals are more equal than others.
You know the danger of this Stephen, and you’re promoting it.
Sad.

COMMON THREAD – CROOKED LIBERAL MEDIA. They USE blacks and “racism” accusations to destroy conservatives. It’s ALL about the media being liberals. The blacks have no clue that they’re being used. THAT’S the liberal playbook. USE blacks to gain/retain political power.
marklmail on October 15, 2009 at 8:53 AM
And so the question has become – How long will the ‘blacks’ allow themselves to be used? Surely most black people can think for themselves. Surely 90% of the black people in the military are smart enough to think for themselves. This is what ticks me off about demographics. Every time I here some RINO talking about how we have to reach out and ‘win’ the black vote, all I here is we have to buy them off somehow.
What the HELL happened to LEADERSHIP?
Blacksmith8 on October 15, 2009 at 9:07 AM
Rush’s show today will probably be the most listened radio program of the year.

Amazing how many people know Rush is evil without ever having listened to him.
infidel4life on October 15, 2009 at 9:46 AM
Rush must sue all the slanderers and not let them get by with it any longer or it will just get worse. They see they have him on the ropes, they will just go in for the kill. Rush has the power and the money to take them on. After what they did to Sarah Palin, if they’re not stopped all conservatives will be drawn and quartered, and this is how they have stated they will win the next election. The treasonous media must be stopped, and I can think of no better person to do it than Rush.

All black people are doing is bringing THEIR RACISIM to light. They can say they elected Obama, but the truth we all know is that without millions of white votes he would have not had a prayer, even with all of the ACORN corruption of the caucus process. The blacks, latinos, and gays could ALL vote together and still could not elect someone without white votes.
I don’t presume to know what you all are thinking, but I will tell you with the way this has all been thrown in our faces, with the attorney general of the United States calling us cowards on race, and then letting black panthers off, with all of the black liberationists coming out in our administration and flaunting their out and out THEFT of peoples retirement money, and bond holders of companies so they can give it to the lazy slackers among us I can tell you EXACTLY what I am going to do, and what I will venture to guess millions of white Americans will do behind that little booth in private is if a candidate for dog catcher, to president is black, they will NEVER get my vote again. Not that I voted for Obama because I actually LISTENED to what he said, but I have voted for black candidates and I am sick of them getting into office, and then forgetting about the white part of their district, and representing only the black part of their district. A white person cannot even get Shiela Jackson Lee to respond to any of their concerns, she makes it VERY clear that she does not care in the least what they think because she knows her district has been so gerrymandered that black outnumber whites in it so she cannot be voted out.
Sorry, but you cannot have it both ways. You don’t get to make us all walk on eggshells for 20 years in order to not be racist, and then rub our noses in it and tell us THEY ARE IN CHARGE NOW. It does not work that way. We have done our part, now it is time for them to stop going to their black liberation churches listenting to the vile hatefull things being said. It is time to stop the race baiters like Sharpton and Jackson who ruin lives running in with no facts and throw accusations. It is time for a black congresswoman from a poor district in Houston which is rife with ACORN to stop standing on the house floor wasting tax payer time spewing her hate filled speech about a game, and a person she so obviously knows nothing about!
We will only take this for so long until we start using your tactics against you. We have read Alinski too, we just were not stupid enough to think his views had any value.
patriotparty1 on October 15, 2009 at 10:21 AM
Everyone is a racist. Through out life, everyone is making a determination when interacting with a person of a different color or ethnicity. If the initial interaction is positive, then each party will move forward to develop a more in depth relationship with each other. Therefore, the outcome of that interaction forms an individuals basis of the entire race or culture of the person.
Unfortunately I, you, or the government cannot change the other persons opinion of me or I of them especially when either party has had had a negative interaction with someone that resembles me.
The only way to change such an opinion is to have a positive interaction. The Government can not regulate or dictate all individual contacts are always positive.

Remember this was started by the head of the players union who supported Obama, and Obama owns the unions. Does anyone else besides me think the origination of this came from the WH?

Sue, Rush, Sue!

This is now the time for Jim Nantz, the #1 lead NFL announcer to step up and rip this.
He was on plugging his book last month and couldn’t be more complimentary to Rush. He’s friend with the Bushs’ and is about as close to a republican as you’re going to get at CBS.
Step up Nantz- this Sunday on TV.
P.S.- If I was Rush I would set aside 10 million dollars for legal fees and lets the lawsuits fly. All this scum understands is force.
jjshaka on October 15, 2009 at 11:14 AM
At this point, I can do without the NFL and the media.
Rockygold on October 15, 2009 at 11:20 AM
Not being a smartass(this time) but “ditto” to what you said and power to the people…
inevitable on October 15, 2009 at 11:27 AM
I am so sick of these BLACK RACISTS, Sharpton,Jackson,Rangel,Waters,Lee,etc, etc, talk about black and white, they do more to hurt the racial divide than everyone else put to-gether. If you are white you are racist if you are black you are not, simple solutions for simple minds. As for the NFL like the country boy, you can take the boy out of the ghetto but you can’t take the ghetto out of the boy. With our great uniter in the WH things are getting better, NOT.
concernedsenior on October 15, 2009 at 11:29 AM
The race card has been rendered pretty much ineffective and it’s about time. It really is cause for celebration. It’s time for people to be judged on who they really are not the color of their skin. I hope that Rush keeps their feet to the fire because it is what’s necessary to teach these people a lesson. You can’t just be allowed to go around lying about others.
ReneePA on October 15, 2009 at 1:01 PM
Nothing to see here folks. In the age of the exalted one, the most high, he who brings light to the dark firmament, the messiah… you are all racists. You just didn’t get the official memo yet.
