Quotes of the day
posted at 10:55 pm on October 13, 2009 by Allahpundit
“Beyond the debate over the size of government is this less defined question whose answer could influence the outcome of Obama’s presidency: As he sells his administration’s solutions to the country’s problems, is his do-everything, be-everywhere leadership style in tune with the times?…
Obama has been a constant presence in the mass media as he expands the bureaucracy’s reach into the private sector while presiding over national debates on issues that have become the focus of arguments over big government.
In doing so, he has created a quandary. Put aside for a moment the question of whether government is actually intruding into people’s lives more than before. The point is that many people feel like it is — in part because Obama doesn’t stop talking about his goals. If President George W. Bush got slapped around for being inarticulate, is Obama obnoxiously articulate?”
***
“Terrorists? ‘Now let me be clear: We are indeed at war with al-Qaida and its affiliates.’
Student testing? ‘Let me be clear: Success should be judged by results, and data is a powerful tool to determine results.’
Iran? ‘Let me be clear: Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile activity poses a real threat, not just to the United States, but to Iran’s neighbors and our allies.’
Auto bailouts? ‘Let me be clear: The United States government has no interest in running GM.’
The president takes the phrase everywhere.
In Moscow: ‘Let me be clear: America wants a strong, peaceful, and prosperous Russia.’
In Ghana: ‘Let me be clear: Africa is not the crude caricature of a continent at perpetual war.’
In Italy, bemoaning poor U.S. leadership on climate change: ‘Let me be clear: Those days are over.’
In Trinidad, announcing new aid: ‘Let me be clear: This is not charity.’”

Just remember, Joey Buttafuco was a constant media presence, too.
Besides, a be-everywhere leader is not a leader. Doesn’t matter what the times are.

An insufferable ass is an insufferable ass, of course, of course,
And no one can talk sense to an insufferable ass, of course
And especially, of course, if the insufferable ass is the omnipresent Barack Obama.
Go right to the source and ask the insufferable ass.
He’ll give you the answer that deceivers will endorse.
He’s always on a dissemblers course.
Talk to Barack Obama.
Barack Obama just yakkity yaks a streak and wastes your time of day
Does any sane person even believe anymore a thing he has to say?
An insufferable ass is an insufferable ass, of course, of course,
And this one’ll talk in circles til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking insufferable ass?
Well listen to this.
He is Barack Obama.

No it is not. Charity is the voluntary act of giving one’s own time, resources, money to another, group, or cause. Money given in this case was forceable taken from one group of people and given to another. I think that is called theft.

Obama is a deceiver, a dissembler
His Mom trousers are alight
From what pole or banner
Shall they dangle in the night?
What infernal serpent
Has lent him his forked tongue?
From what pit of foul deceit
Have all his whoppers sprung?
What red devil of mendacity
Grips his sick soul with such tenacity?
Will not one in a nation he so cruelly showers with lies
Put a boot between his empty eyes?

I, Tuco Ramirez, will tell you something Barack Obama. You think you are better than I am. Where I came from, if one did not want to have to actually earn his money, one became a corrupt politician or a bandit. You choose your way, I chose mine. Mine was harder! I don’t remember for how long, but I tried the corrupt politician racket! I tried, but it was no good! My standards may be low but I do have some standards. Now I am going to tell you something, Barack Obama .. … you became a corrupt politician on a grand scale because you are too cowardly to do what I do.

Yep. The problem is, people don’t care.
I remember watching John Stossel cover SS. He asked an elderly lady if she would be willing to accept cuts to SS knowing that her kids would never see it without reform. She said heck no, life isn’t fair. If anyone touches her SS there will be hell to pay.
They want their check in the mail before the country burns to the ground.
I just hope when it all comes crashing down that lady is still alive and sans SS check. Have fun eating dog food lady.

One of the first rules of legal writing is to avoid “clearly” or “obviously,” as those presage something that is inevitably neither clear nor obvious. Apparently, when your corpus of legal scholarship contains nothing but pro-abortion ramblings and race-baiting courses, such basics are overlooked.
Roxeanne de Luca on October 13, 2009 at 11:58 PM
Barack Hussein Obama:
“Let me be clear: if I were to actually be clear then all of you would want a clear answer. I must be clear about the fact that there is no clear answer, never was any clear answer, and can never be a clear answer. For there to be a clear answer about what I want to be clear about then there must be a clear question. So, let me be clear: the only clear thing about the question is that it all depends on what the definition of clear is. Is that clear?
And further more, Let me be clear: I have never had clarity with that public, the American public, and it’s time for me to get back to work. Clear enough?“

Rasmussen’s numbers are not changed much. Gallup may be weighting the sample under the assumption that the Nobel would increase his support—which is not the same thing as a reality where it would increase his support.
In fact, some say it is really pointing to the Empty Suit’s empty-suitedness and could backfire on him.

His usage of the very banal introductory, “Let me be clear”, or, “I’ve always said”, smacks of the same rudimentary lies when someone begins a total fabrication with, “In all honesty” or “To be truthful…”…..you know you’re in for a heap of grief and a shitful of deception with what follows.

We are obviously missing what is the signature piece, the untapped and unveiled Ivy League intellect. We know it’s there, we’ve been promised a glimpse of it. It seems most of this country already accepts and endorses him in ways that defy any logic and sense.. BUT, we’re for damn sure missing it. Please, please enlighten us morons.
