Pawlenty hiring McCain staffers is a ’smart’ (small s) move. He is serious about his bid and wants people working for him that delivered a successful campaign to another candidate. The problem is that the McCain team was one of the most dysfunctional bunch of mercenaries ever to grace a campaign. If he can reign them in, great, if not, then it will be a very amusing campaign.

As for Palin, I still believe something ugly in her closet pushed her out the door. She is not running. She’s trading on her personality / good will and cashing in with her book and speaking gigs. Even her ’son in law’ Levi Johnston is cashing in.

If there was even the faintest glimmer of her running for Prez, Levi would have smiled, wore his suit and followed orders, The fact that he’s willing to pose nude in Playgirls shows that Palin has absolutely no juice, not even in her own family.

Right there! I think that is the key to Obama. Why did he feel the need and what did he do in the early 80s when he stayed at least three weeks in Pakistan. Was it really just visiting friends, and what do we know about his friends? He wrote multiple memiores before he accomplished anything, but he didn’t mention that trip in any of them. We will know much more about Obama when those details come to light, if they ever do.

That’s a nutty decision.

I am ok with Pawlenty but would probably vote for Mitt if my choice were between the two.

Mocking how others display their devotion to their faith shouldn’t be tolerated on these boards.
