A good bit of sarcasm, but don’t you mean “in addition to”? The resoning is every bit as (un)sound for Economics as it was for Peace. After all, the Nobel committee has already gone “full retard”. What more harm could they do to themselves?

Keep wondering at the ease and speed with which the above was accomplished and can’t help but think that WE must be more worthless than Obama for allowing this to happen.

In one mindless stroke, the committee has rendered the Nobel Peace Prize a laughingstock, perhaps for as long as a generation.

Excuse me, but the nobel peace prize has always been in this category. Actually picking someone who truly merited it would have been a shocker.

Those great leaders represented on Mt. Rushmore never endured the diffulties of life our dear leader had to endure. Obama went through three grueling months as a state senator, gut-wrenchingly voting present 129 times, before entering the presidential race. NEVER ran any business and somehow owns GM, Chrysler, AIG, most unions, most banks and savings and loans, wants to own US healthcare and has accomplished NOTHING except “just words, just speeches” although, he has a tendency to throw many of his family and friends under the bus when he feels his power is threatened.

Does throwing others under the bus count as an accomplishment for the Nobel Peace Prize?

Chris Buckley picked to cheerlead the side of the Euro appeasers because of some vague feeling that McCain would die immediately upon winning and Sarah Palin would declare a Christian theocracy or something. Its too late to hear him try to make up for it.

This is an award for not being George W. Bush. This is an award for not making the world nervous. This is an award for sharing the basic political sentiments and assumptions of the members of the committee. It is for what Barack Obama may do, not what he has done. He hasn’t done anything.

Not at all, this President has done more to cut America down to size than any of her enemies can.

Its the Nobel liberal definition of “body of work” that’s changed.

No longer is a positive achievement the ideal, vast shires of mud huts punctuated by large palatial estates inhabited by the Al Gores and Barack Obamas of the world, that’s the goal.

Using the criteria they noted in this years award, clueless rhetoric could bring Obama more years of Nobel Prizes.
