Seriously, if they pass this bill, supporters of the bill will be picked apart in the next election cycle.

If they pass the bill, just run over and over again the cuts to Medicare that they voted for, and it’s over.

I don’t understand why this is where they made their stand. It seems so abstract and inconsequential. If you are going to create a crisis and give a solution, why make it something both as abstract and as expensive as health care?

It doesn’t make sense to me. . . but at this point it is like Pavlov’s dogs because Obama is so ‘competitive’ that he doesn’t want to ‘lose’. The dichotomy he faces now is that if he wins here, he’ll lose the rest of his presidency. I don’t understand why they make it this important.
