Why Axelrod and Emanuel feel the need to take shots at Glenn Beck via the White House blog when they’ve got major newspapers eager to play stenographer for them is beyond me.

Oh, that’s easy. If your entire life was spent hearing how wonderful and unique you were and how everyone loved you, then you reached your dream job and suddenly everyone treats you like you’re nothing special, just another administration, subject to the same press as Bush or Clinton or Reagan or Carter, not recognized for your uniqueness, aren’t you going to be a little ticked off? Isn’t it going to feel all just a little bit unfair? “Doesn’t the press see that my administration is special? Why don’t they love me like they did on election day?!?”
