Either we pull our troops out of Afghanistan or we support them fully. I like the latter and it is time to drop those MOABS. The enhanced ones, I mean.

Iran MUST be punished and hit very hard. No half-measures. Half-measures get people killed.

I have never served in the military, but I can sure imagine what it must be like to be in such a dangerous place with a dithering idiot as a president.

The lives of these people literally hinge on what our unhinged president is doing.

Winning or losing in Afganistan has come down to one thing: resolve.

Our enemy knows this. They are RESOLVED to destroy Israel et. al. That is why, despite their inferior numbers, inferior weaponry, inferior tactics and intelligence, they may just win, and if they do, they will show we didn’t have the will to stop fundamentalist Islam and terrorism.

If we bow out of Afganistan, we have bought a much longer and wider war, and we won’t have a choice but to have the resolve at some future time at a much greater cost. Their ideology is evil, and if we don’t stand against evil now, we are just putting off the inevitable.

We have the might, but it seems they have the stomach.

ED MORRISSEY: Why does the White House want the military to keep quiet about Iranian connections to the Taliban? They want to keep enough political support in the US for direct talks with the mullahs. That support will evaporate if the military starts drawing clear connections between Tehran and the Taliban, especially with al-Qaeda as its ally in Pakistan.

This doesn’t make sense Ed. If you want somebody to negotiate, you want to do that from a position of power, not weakness. If our public understood that Iran was supporting the Taliban (seriously, who doesn’t know already) I don’t think it would make a bit of difference… Obama has never looked for majority support of anything he has done.

No… I think the reason Obama tries to keep the lid on this, is that he wants to lose this war, and if our public knew the enemy, we would be up for the fight. If Obama can get our media to focus ONLY on how it is bad for the U.S., without naming any enemy and therefore any reason for this war, the USA public will lose heart. THAT is what Obama wants.

During the primary Berry said he would have us out of Afghanistan in 6 months. Well you wanted the job Berry and you got it!
