Video: The obligatory “kids sing for ObamaCare on CNN” clip; Update: Singer critiques ObamaCare afterwards
posted at 7:46 pm on October 7, 2009 by Allahpundit
Via Drudge and Weasel Zippers, this one’s a got a few redeeming factors that the “Obama loves me, this I know” genre of child hymns lacks. For one thing, it’s about policy, not the glory of the king. For another, rewriting the lyrics to Miley Cyrus’s new song is more creative than the usual fare. And beyond that, does no one recognize these kids but me? They went mega-viral last year during the campaign. This is practically a follow-up single to a number-one hit. No wonder CNN booked them.
Update: Via JWF, watch the very beginning starting at around 20 seconds in. I remember this kid as being the lone McCain supporter in the group last year when they were interviewed after performing. Now you see why.

I guess if you don’t know who your daddy is you would need taxpayers to pay for it.

Life is over as we know it. The best we can hope for is a relatively quick and painless death of our hard-fought and easily-lost freedoms.

Has anyone checked to see if little Willie is okay? Did he make it home? Will we see him tomorrow looking like a raccoon and singing a different tune?
CCRWM on October 7, 2009 at 9:14 PM
Watch the second video. If only to watch that kid look and sound 20 times smarter than every supporter of Obamacare.

Apparently the media did an insufficient job of destroying Willie after his last outburst.

Stay down Lil’ Willie! You just blew that media hack away, and left her speechless. You got game, kid!

Sad, but true. Poor Lil’ Willie beat down for acting white. What a shame.

Holy sh!t, 20second kid rocks!!
Apologetic California on October 7, 2009 at 10:30 PM
No doubt. Sounds like Willie knows who his daddy is though. At the least someone on the home front is schooling him right.
Gang-of-One on October 7, 2009 at 10:33 PM
That was a ripoff of Miley Cyrus? Sounded more like a ripoff of the Brady Bunch doing “Sunshine Day.” The dance steps were the same too.
Greg Brady would be proud.

This kid might someday be doing a duo with Zo.

Not bad. Not bad at all.
Lighten up folks, and enjoy.
This is not very partisan at all, and kind of fun.

That kid’s speech was more coached and rehearsed than the song they performed.

My God, I’ve been so down about our future generation. Then Willie comes along and gives one hope. Thanks Willie

Is Willie Zo’s little brother?
Jeff from WI on October 8, 2009 at 5:13 AM
Thanks for the update on this one AP… That Willie is quite the bright one… hopefully, he rubs off on the other kids.

well she picked the wrong kid to ask, didn’t she. HA
They were better during the primary. This would not be bad, had they left out the You Lie comment.

I just had to leave a post on the real clear politics website where I first viewed this child abuse even though I doubt that those posts or comments are ever seen, but this stuff just makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little, so I’m re posting my comment here. Dear President Obama, I am sure that you had no knowledge of such a shameful thing going on in our country. I mean with you being the all knowing, all seeing, able to walk on water, leader that you are. Could you please come out and denounce this indoctrination of our children and make some heads roll at the school that is doing this. If you keep allowing this to happen all over our country, there are some people out there that may begin to believe that maybe you actually are aware of these things and that you must actually be a racist, marxist, dummy. It’s bad enough that it seems that you are intellectually spent and have used up every tactic that you have been taught by your “early 20th century progressive” mentors and have not been able to fullfil your dreams of the one world utopian rainbow land and that now the whole world looks at you as our red headed step child of a leader but please dont try to take our kids down the same path. We are, or I guess I should say that I am humbly asking you to reconsider the decision that you have made to try to lead the greatest nation on earth and to just pass it on to somebody more qualified that will not embarrass us anymore than you already have.
Just pick a name out of the phonebook, anyone else would do. Best Regards Mr President, Rich Carter

Willie! He sure stumped the hostess. Keep being smart kid, continue to think for yourself.

Better keep his new Safe Scool Czar, Kevin Jennings, (Obama’s director of the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools),away from this kid…

I will make sure that my dear wife who is a public school music teacher sees this, as our district is probably 99% white(clearly racist) and maybe she can teach some of her classes to do this too- feel the love!

Ron Clark (if it’s the same one) was actually one of those great educators that should be lauded not for academic theories in Pedagogy, but for giving and giving from his personal self to change individual lives. The song’s much more toned down than the Praise Obama songs and that little guy, Willie, man did he level the rhetoric by giving a very articulate and dispassionate response. I want to meet that young man’s mom and dad, they must be awesome parents!
