Good one! I wonder if the other Jersey folks can chime in on the gov’t run DMV, vs what we have now…the non-gov’t DMV. I went through inspection in 10 minutes…vs. the previous 3 hours when the state ran it. Christie Whitman was good for something.

Yep, count me in too. Just love waiting in line at the DMV and the the eternal wait for my number to come up on the screen. Nothing better to do with my time than watching governmental employees take their hourly and then lunch breaks. Wish I had a job like they do, but wait, I’m a white guy so I have t earn my money the old fashion way…in the private sector with the risk of losing my job if I screw up.

DMV, I just moved to SC from GA last year.
Although it was an exasperating experience,”You need my birth certificate?!”.
They even looked at the scroll, to be sure it was stamped!
The employees were wonderful, I have never had such a pleasant government encounter.

You should take a visit to my neck of the woods, Alex. Here in Ann Arbor, MI – liberal bastion of the midwest, home of the world’s largest Hillary Clinton fan club (and I’m not making that up) – there is a thriving community of very conservative Catholics quite actively involved in both the Church and political causes. Good stuff.
