So what you’re saying that you would be more uncomfortable, feel more shame or be more humiliated if Sarah Palin represented your country than the Marxist apologist who intends to destroy the American economy and deprive Americans of their freedom and liberty.

Sad to say, yes they would. These people, as I pointed out above, hated Ronald Reagan and were embarrassed by him. Seriously, I think they'd rather have had Jimmy Carter or Walter Mondull or Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy than Reagan.

By the way, look up the word "embarrassment" in the dictionary and you will find this picture.

Folks, remember something. The very same things being said about Sarah Palin by the very same blueblood countryclubbers, the Judge Smails wing of the Republican Party, were said about Ronald Reagan and for the very same reasons. Ronaldus Magnus drew the blue-collar types, the middle and lower-middle class, ethnics, etc., into the GOP fold, and according to the blueblood countryclubbers, some people just don't belong.

These people hated Reagan at the time and still hate him to this day. They said the same things as the pinhead liberal elitists did: an amiable dunce, a dumb Hollywood movie actor, dangerous ...

Right now, we have a narcissist with a messianic complex and an ego that Jerry Jones' new stadium couldn't hold. And a man who'se accomplished absolutely nothing in his life except win the 2008 American Idol election. God, where was Simon Cowel when we needed him?

If the Judge Smails wing of the GOP insists on its purge — and sad to say there are some Boston-Washington corridor conservatives on that train — they can guarantee a 3rd party in 2012 and hence 4 more years of the Chocolate Jesus.

PEOPLE, PALIN WOULD BE AN EMBARRASSMENT AS A LEADER. SHE HAS DONE NOTHING TO MERIT THE PRESIDENCY

definition of EMBARRASSMENT:

a feeling of painful self-conscious, uncomfortableness, shame or humiliation; a confusion or disturbance of mind

So what you're saying that you would be more uncomfortable, feel more shame or be more humiliated if Sarah Palin represented your country than the Marxist apologist who intends to destroy the American economy and deprive Americans of their freedom and liberty.

And regards to whether Palin is qualified to be POTUS isn't that what the primaries and campaigns and debates are all about; if she doesn't display presidential timber she won't get the nomination, simple as that.

If Palin improves her in terms of articulating national policy, I think she has a decent chance of uniting the party.

However, I think she is being a lazy *** and not putting in the work….

Who knows? Maybe she is in it for the money only.

TimeTraveler on October 2, 2009 at 11:52 AM

I've seen you make some intelligent posts, and I've seen you make some stupid posts, but this one defies all description! "Stupierest?"

There's not a lazy bone in Sarah Palin's body. From every account, from her staffers, to campaign people who aren't Schmidt and Wallace, they say Sarah is the biggest multi-tasking workahaulic they have ever seen!

Limitless energy!

After a long day of work, Sarah Palin's idea of "taking it easy" is running 4 or 5 miles! In fact, she told Runner's Word in an interview, that both crashed their servers and set a print issue sales record, that her biggest bitch on the campaign is she didn't get enough running time!

Oh, and as we now know, she's not been seen, except for her brilliant Facebook ass-whoopin' of Obama, because she has spent night and day turning a lifetime worth of journal keeping into the best selling book in America!

I'd give up my left testicle to HALF as lazy as Sarah Palin!

Y
eah — he career so awesome that I’m trembling in my boots. Lets see: mediocre mayor of tiny town, failed VP candidate, quitter governor. Yep, she’s a juggernaut all right.

You guys are like bettors who put all their money on the home team no matter how bad the odds are, because you’re so blinded by hormones that you forget to think.

I’ll bet you think her Hong Kong speech was brilliant, too.

Bleeds Blue on October 2, 2009 at 11:56 AM

To use the newly coined phrase from this thread, you are a Palin denier!

Sarah had a very successful run as a city council woman, and an even more successful run as a two term mayor of Wasilla. Her record was incredible at that job.

In addition, she was the President of the Alaska Council of Mayors.

She did lose when she ran for Lt Governor, but that caught the eye of the Governor who made her Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Conservation Commission. One of the more powerful jobs in Alaska. She was incredibly effective there, and we ALL know what happened when she found corruption.

Oh, she "quit" that job too, and the took down the entire leadership of the Republican party, some who still sit in prison!

She fulfilled every single campaign promise she made before she "quit" including negotiating the largest construction project in North American history. This is a $40 billion deal that she put together by creating an international coalition.

Hmmmmmmmmm, I wonder if building international coalitions is a skill that could come in handy as POTUS?

Remind me again how well Obama has done at coalition building?

As Governor she also served as Chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, as well as Chair of the National Governors Association's Natural Resources Committee.

As for "quitting" as Governor, anyone who doesn't understand that deal, as far as I am concerned is simply too stupid to grasp any concept of any thing, period. Makes me wonder how their brain even has enough functional ability to do the automatic stuff like pump the heart, and breath!

She was in a no win situation, and yet, threw the enemy (Obama) a huge curve, changed the game, and now has him behind the eight ball, checkmated, really!

You keep being delusional though, we need folks like you around for the laughs!

People, Palin would be an embarrassment as a leader. She has done nothing to merit the presidency. Remember, it was McCain who raised her profile. She didn’t earn it.

We will make the same mistake the liberals made with Obama. The only difference is Palin doesn’t hate America like Obama does.

There is a better leader if you’d only wake up.

scotash on October 3, 2009 at 1:30 AM

Sarah Palin's profile as a conservative reformist was almost perfect until McCain's people touched on it.

Better leader? YOU? [Don't tell me about Romney, Huck, Ron, DeMint, Pawlenty, Barbour, Daniels, Crist, .... their profiles were long been trashed by the MSM. MSM has a complete arsenal to destroy their campaigns. Jindal is doing everything he can at the moment to re-align himself with the Global Warming Umbrella built by McCain.]

Plus, leader of what? RINOs who can win but just more of the same with Bush and Obama? NO WAY.

Schmidt...is that you, Bro?

Well, we could get the original Grumpy Old Man up there and disappear inside our collective shell...or we could get the health care guy who looks like he was cast to play the part of the prez in a movie, or we could get the guitar-playing TV show guy who attacked the aforementioned presidential-looking guy in his book, or we could get the Minnesota gov who came up with the bright idea of taxing vehicle mileage ('cause, you know, the Dems need help in dreaming up new taxes)...

Once you go down the list that leaves Sarah Palin and Reagan, but last I heard, he's dead and already served two terms anyway.

The funny thing is that loser Steve Schmidt and quitter Sarah Palin are two peas in the same pod: bomb-throwers who have no real interest in interest or the truth who success lies in their ability to manufacture and exploit divisive issues. Palin’s “death panel” posting is the perfect example of a Steve Schmidt tactic: create a fake issue (remember “lipstick on a pig”?), make it simple enough that the moron majority can understand it, and say whatever it takes to get your name in the paper. If he thinks Sarah’s toast, she is.

One minor difference, Schmidt is a dumbass who never won an election.

Sarah's "death panels" which were DEAD ON, changed history, stopped Changy McHopiness in his tracks! Had the Senate removing legislation they claimed didn't exist. Totally got inside the Dear Leader's head, and destroyed him.

Even if one accepts your premise that both of them are bomb throwers, and I do not, Schmidt has no arm. Palin is an all star pitcher!

Again, Schmidt is a bit player that no one knows of or cares about. Palin on the other hand is the superstar player who knows how to GET RESULTS!

Sarah wasn't even close to being the first one to point out that Obamacare will lead to massive rationing of care, horrible quality of care, and suffer from lack of funds.

She was just the only one to be able to condense the argument down to a basic concept.

In sales and marketing, we consider people like Palin geniuses.

People, Palin would be an embarrassment as a leader. She has done nothing to merit the presidency. Remember, it was McCain who raised her profile. She didn't earn it.

We will make the same mistake the liberals made with Obama. The only difference is Palin doesn't hate America like Obama does.

There is a better leader if you'd only wake up.

You catch that much fire because anyone on the right with have a brain knows this loser would be a disaster for our party and our country.

voxpopuli on October 2, 2009 at 11:01 PM
Really? Huckabee would be a disaster for this country. Everyone knows it. He doesn't catch a tiny fraction of the fire Palin catches. I mean, there are lots of those you would call "losers" that you wouldn't bother commenting on in blogs, because the loser sheen is pretty self-evident.

All these anti-Palin pieces are convincing me that, whenever it may be, Palin will one day be our first woman president. You don’t catch that much fire for no reason.

Just maybe this guy never stopped working for McCain. After all, isn't McCain out looking to fashion the GOP in his own image. Didn't I read somewhere McCain is supporting Crist.

Why the hell would anyone listen Steve Schmidt about who is or isn't a potential winning candidate for the GOP in 2012? After all he and his team lost the last campaign that they ran, which makes him a looser who should shut the hell up and stop reminding people of the really bad job that he did.

Steve Schmidt and others began using Palin as a scape goat for what was about to be a losing campaign a few weeks before the election. It was insidious and unprecedented to do to a running mate, a member of your "team."
Clearly some people in that campaign never thought McCain should have picked her. Fine. At that point, either go with the program, or say you can't abide by the decision and quit. That's honorable. Helping the media and liberals pick her apart, and thus hurting your boss, the presidential candidate, is disgusting.
Steve Schmidt is done as a campaign manager in the GOP. So he has to make a few bucks on CNN or MSNBC as a Republican who will rip Plain. He disgusts me.

Steve Scmidt is an idiot that should have learned from the castastrophe that he was a major player in causing by trying yo elect someone who has no base at all. Country Club Republicans are extinct everywhere but in their own delusional minds. Lets see how the funds roll in to support these RINO chumps. Without Palin on his ticket, McCain would've been another Walter Mondale.
